Is this appropriate for the community pool?

+1

Honest to god, one mom had swim capris? and a long sleeve rash guard at ours. It reminded me of those modesty suits the Duggars wear.

Meh. I wear a long sleeve rash guard with bikini bottoms. I don’t care what you think, I’m not going back to slathering sunscreen all over my arms and back all day.

Exactly! My sister does too and both doesn’t care and is a melanoma survivor. Stuff it bathing suit critic.

+1 A family pool? Nope. It would cause a problem at our country club pool. I don't think the board would do anything but I do think there would be some social ostracization occurring because OP was wearing it at a family pool.

Family pool? Only if you don't care that some will be talking about you. Resort? Sure. Vacation, yes. Right or wrong, most moms want to look like moms at community pools, not like the "hot mom" that everyone talks about. And if you want to be the hot mom then you better be hot.

What are the other moms wearing at your pool, OP? Frumpy? Or are there others wearing less modest suits? That will tell you more.

OP here. This is what I actually bought, but I look more like the other model, minus the flawless skin.

Will the knot on the bow bother your back when sitting or laying down? It would for me.

Wouldn't be an issue at our pool. The only time I've heard a lot of gossiping and the reaction people are posting abiut here is when a mom wore an actual thong bikini

Completely appropriate. Also community service.

OP here. Good point. There has always been a roughly equal proportion of bikinis and one-pieces, but I never paid attention to the bottom coverage. I've never seen a thong.

Wow, you sound like a beyotch who has not self confidence and runs around in those "mommy" suits with the skirts on them. Why bother to comment on someone else's suit at all? The only time my friends and I comment on someone's suit is when we like it and tell them it looks nice.

I'm just telling it like it is. OP asked for my opinion and I told her. I'm not here calling people names, you are.

Who would you say this to??? Honestly no one wants to hear your shit. You sound either insecure or just plain mean. Neither is fun to be around

Calm down. I told OP she could wear it if she wants. Lots of people here are meaner than I am. You seriously have NEVER made a comment about someone's clothing choices before? You sound boooooring. That's not fun to be around either

Im no prude but I just find these cheeky bottoms impractical. If your butt is too big you’ll get a wedgie and if it’s too small it also hangs funny. My extremely fit 13 year old bought one and had to return it. In general it’s bad design which I really think can be explained by efforts to get more suits out of a swath of fabric.

I think it’s fine, but you gotta own it, because you will definitely stand out in the sea of lands end tankinis.

This was my thought too. What's the problem here? A bit of butt cheek?

Which pool? I'd love to know to avoid the social ostracization from the morality police.

And what are the other women wearing. Nearly all of the suits I’ve seen this yr are cut pretty similar to this

Wow. These suits seem fine. Holy crap do I wear more revealing swimsuits to our community pool. I’m in my late 30s and athletic, and I wear what’s fashionable - not string bikinis but definitely plunge, high leg swimsuits.
