No. Players who make make Eastern pool will be. How else will local staff play favorite. Not every kid will make it on merit. Deal with it.

Why not? What's there to hide? Coaches should feel confident about their recommendations and be open about it.

Folks, please stop contributing to the ODP scam. It is not worth the money. In most states, it is NOT top talent.

Didn’t make the State team. It’s ok.

They have published them in the past. Most of the kids who are going this year already got an invite before the tournament. As you can see from the Maryland site, post tournament they may only take a few more per age group.

DD did, was the pivotal player in the tournament for the team, didn't get the ID camp invite based on either practice or tournament performance. It will be good to know who made it so DD can self-evaluate. Not telling who you recommend is odd when you advertise every little thing. I am glad for kids who made it.

[b]pivotal player in the tournament for the team[b]

Care to share which league he/she plays in? ECNL, MLS-next, NCSL, ODSL, CCL, etc...

ECNL. She scored or assisted with 70% of the goals for the team and I can’t give her a reason why she wasn’t ID.

Answer: Politics.

This is so common.

You cannot play soccer for any length of time and not experienced somewhere at some point and time.

What I tell my kids if they face situations like these.

"If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z.

X is work.

Y is play.

Z is keep your mouth shut." - Einstein

Not implying this is your Daughter at all. However, there was a u12 boy (DA team) a number of years ago that led the team in goals. Problem is all of his goals came from an average of 3 feet out (in other words, tap-ins). Fast forward 3 years and he's probably one the worst players on that very same team. I'm surprised he hasn't been cut already. So sadly, this case is probably another case of politics in youth sports as this particular appears to be taking a spot that should really go to another deserving player who tried out.

Get real, state team? None of the top players in DMV are playing ODP, the program died when DA and ECNL came to town. Look at the players, how many are even in the first team of their club. It’s a money suck folks.
