Well, so much for loving Kate. What she put her parents through for over 100 days and then clearly falsely accused Jeanette. I’m not buying the grooming aspect. Kate is smart and 17.

She's said numerous times she felt like Jeanette stole her life, plus she doesn't think people would understand if the truth came out about the situation.

Plus guilt and self-hatred for willingly getting into a situation/being so close to being free and then going back and having it all go so bad/realizing that she thought she was grown and in a consensual relationship but then realizing she was groomed, manipulated and then finally imprisoned. It makes sense that she would be angry at goofy/innocent turned cool girl Jeanette.

I think she figures in on some level as she's played a prominent role in the whole story.

I agree.. Mallory seems IDK. Off? She and Kate became friends so quickly, but maybe that's just high school

As for Kate and that whole "relationship". It is messed up that she lied but the teacher was still wrong from the jump. I feel like it needs to be said that he was still an adult and she was a dumb kid playing at a grown up relationship. I know while watching it I briefly felt sorry for him because yes, she did go to his house willingly etc. But there was still grooming/power dynamic/whatever you want to call it.

It was renewed for a serving session and tonight is the finale. Don’t know if season 2 will have the same characters or different.

The finale was so, so good…. Even though this is a “teen” show I thoroughly enjoyed it.

On a side note this is the first time I watched it live and laughed so hard when Freeform put up a screen telling people to do literally anything else besides watch the 700 club (which comes on after)….

What is left for a second season? We haven’t really seen Jeannette’s transformation into Kate 2.0, but I don’t know if I care enough.
