Should you posts pics of home renovation on FB?

A better idea would be to send out pictures via email to those closest to you.

I love seeing peoples' home reno posts, whether or not they DIY'd them. I love interior design and it is fun to me to see how others choose to decorate their houses.

No, this is very weird.

Sounds thirsty and, like another poster said, self-congratulatory for the likes. I imagine OP has a high FB friend count, too, given the need for praise. Do you like all 500-1000 friends and sort of acquaintances want to congratulate you? It’s off putting to most of them so send text to your close circle of friends

But how else are you gonna get grandma to write about her bad hip in an accidental comment on your living room?

Agreed. Nobody wants a photo of your home reno. Stick it on IG and never mention it again.

For years after my mom slightly redid her kitchen she would give anyone who visited a tour of the changes. She wasn't showing off as much as sharing her joy and talking about accessibility in case she becomes wheelchair-bound in the future, but it still made me embarrassed for her as an adult because it could be interpreted as "showing off."

I think a helpful post on Facebook, like "I recently had the privilege of doing a big reno and I have a lot of advice on A, B, C, and D. Message or comment if I can be of help and I look forward to hosting people in the post-pandemic future!" is great!

and if you're able, try to get professional photos taken for if/when you rent or sell before it gets messed up with use!

I enjoy seeing pictures of friend's remodels, especially since I can't see them in person right now!

I would not.

I built my own home and never thought to put it on FB. I am not a big FB user, but when I do go on I see braggy things like this. It is not for me. In my case I think just my parents are interested in that kind of thing so I'd text them photos but that's it.

I am a total looky-loo on renos and updates, mostly because it's not in the cards for us. I don't Facebook, but I'd much rather see someone's reno/redecorate than pictures of what they had for breakfast.

I would love to see this OP if I knew you.

Depends I guess on who you are friends with on FB.

+1 I say go for it. I'd much rather see this than some dumb inspirational quote, anything about your Peleton #goals, or check-in at whatever brunch spot.
