You must live in a really shitty area if you are trying to normalize this individuals behavior.

I feel like it needs to be pointed out, that he did not legally purchase that weapon. Just like he did not legally purchase the vehicle. He should be charged with both.

The point is: where and how does a 12 year old get a gun? That is a huge social problem, not only a "this kid" problem.

No, the point is that it's clear you think gun control would fix this kind of problem. I won't. Horrible people who illegally obtained guns, put the gun in his hand.

But if there weren't literally. hundreds of millions of legal guns, guns would be much harder to come by. They simply don't have these problems in countries where guns are banned.

Any clue how many guns are coming through the Biden/Harris open borders as we speak?

Not only are the cartels bringing in guns, they’re funneling in the most lethal drugs all over this country.

Anyone here proud of Joe and Kamala?

That isn't the direction that guns move across the border.

Guns do move south. For some reason that even Mexico does not understand, even with their strict gun laws, there is no law against moving a gun over the federal border into Mexico. Therefore as the single gun dealer in the country in Mexico (in Mexico City) is overwhelmed, it is easier to buy them in AZ and TX and simply drive them south. The weird thing is that technically this practice is legal, until the weapons are resold.

Y'all are showing your white privilege. Happens often in Baltimore even younger. 10 year olds assault adults usually in the fall for gang initiations.

It’s white privilege to think it’s crazy that a 12 year old is a carjacker?! Come on!

Not PP, but I understand where they're coming from. I think they're invoking "white privilege" in that a lot of whites really don't grasp what the world is like for very poor, inner city black kids. A lot of whites from a certain class/economic background (including myself until I worked with kids who got initially a bad roll of the life dice) have a lot of trouble fathoming any kid that age being capable of committing a very adult crime. I wouldn't take PP personally.

I have a 12 year old and this is particularly mind-blowing to me.

DP and I’m not White.

The PP is offensive. Do you think there aren’t poor whites, especially in rural areas, who get caught up in drugs and crime really young?

I went to NJIT, which is located in Newark and spent lots of time volunteering in the community. I am the PP who has a 12 year old. I do understand that lives of youth living in the inner city is much different, but I am still appalled by this. It has nothing to do with anyone’s race.

By complaining about the other PP’s ‘white privilege’, that poster is being unnecessarily dismissive and condescending. More so because you truly have no idea as to the race of anyone posting.

Yep.

And don’t forget the human trafficking. Kids included. This is not ‘fake news’ as much as people would like to hope it is.

I vote we lock up this kid's parents and force parenting classes on them.

I am a big build a "wall" person, but human trafficking is indeed "fake news".

How did these poor women make their way to Rockville?

When the people in charge choose to not enforce certain laws, other laws also fall by the wayside. You can pretend it doesn’t happen if it makes you feel better, I guess.

Charles Allen's ward. Cannot wait to hear the cockamamie excuse he comes up with for this one. It's 60 degrees tonight, so his "the armed carjackers were probably cold" isn't really gonna fly.
