Lists are in-- Swami is ready!

I think it's telling Swami hasn't engaged on the suggestion to change her name. I'd expect nothing else from her---going high when others go...to inane virtue signaling, as pointed out above.

Well said!

Hoped switching to DCPS because our HRCS has no plans to open. Any chance we get in?

So if you get a spot at West will you enroll and lose your charter spot? What will you do then if the charter turns out to have the better schedule?

Have you seen the new West building coming together? That place is going to be fantastic. I really don't think the charters in the area can compete unless there's something specific you're looking for like dual language.

I’ve never actually heard of West. Do you have a link to a webpage about the school?

+1

I highly doubt a single Hindu has posted here.

I'm a Hindu, and I posted up thread that I agree that changing to Lottery Rabbit would be great.

NP. I could care less about facilities. What I care about is academics and peer groups. Look at the millions and millions spent on renovating poorly performing DCPS schools that are stilled under enrolled.

The school is being renovated now, I think to be complete for next school year. I don't think it's particularly well known outside of the neighborhood, but it's pretty well liked among people I know.

Well if that's your priority, West is one of the only elementary schools in DCPS that has a Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) program, which is the District's equivalent to an open G&T program. No idea how it works in practice, but it's there.

Rising 5th Grader, no sibling preference.

1. Washington Latin PCS

If we don't get in, we'll stay at our ES; figured it was worth the shot.

Not swami, but I’m guessing you will get into sela and at some point get off the waitlist at MV8. You will love sela but end up going to MV, which will be a bad decision in the long run assuming they have the same problems as MV cook.

Then why are you virtue signaling? How can you possibly not see the irony?

It wouldn't ruin the thread if she used a different term next time. What's ruining the thread is people who are having a tantrum because someone politely made a suggestion.

Grow up.

Why “rabbit” as a replacement for Swami? You should really check your homosapian privilege. Animals have feelings too.

I’m in favor for a change. We can always strive to be better.

I like Lottery Whisperer. Lottery Rabbit is good too.
