Apparently Loudon is considering dropping to 3' of distancing as soon as this year if the hybrid opening goes well.

| Very scientific. Lmao |
So foolish. The school board has GOT to just quit tinkering. We don’t even have kids IN the buildings yet on the hybrid concurrent plan and already they’re talking about changing it. Families need stability. Kids and staff need stability and routine. I’m so tired of them creating policy around themselves. Start hybrid. Let everyone get some consistency for once. Not to mention, the second they say it’s 4 day, a class of 6-7 kids becomes a class of 15. Contagious variants and no distance among 15+ = disaster. We can figure out hybrid concurrent as we go. But they need to chill out and focus on summer and fall and quit messing with plans before they even start. Nobody needs 2 different school plans and schedules to adapt to in the last 3 months of school. It’s nonsense. |
Then what’s stopping you? I understand you’re going to say “our jobs and house are here” blah blah and you’re not wrong but then what you’re admitting to is IN PERSON school is NOT worth it to you at any cost and there are certain things you won’t trade in order to have it. |
I’m a parent in favor of in person school and I agree with this. Enough tinkering - let’s focus on fall! 5 days in person, start planning now. |
Yet New York and california have the highest rates, so nothing really mattrrs |
| My friends child in suburban Charleston had been back five days a week in person and they just opened the school up so all the kids who selected virtual initially could return. Nearly 4300 kids with just masks. They also didn’t vaccinate teachers. |
What’s your point? Yes, a lot of places did that. Doesn’t mean it was safe or people weren’t at risk. It means they didn’t care. Any one of you CAN MOVE there if 5 day face to face right now is the most important thing to you. You could. If you won’t, you are saying that there are some things you won’t compromise on for 5 day face to face school because some trade offs aren’t worth it. Schools that stayed closed for safety made that exact same calculation. And now they’re opening. |
Are you trying to say this is a good thing???!!! |
"Figuring out" concurrent while we go = changing guidelines and class numbers. I'm glad they're thinking about this now instead of in April to be implemented in June. |
