Apparently Loudon is considering dropping to 3' of distancing as soon as this year if the hybrid opening goes well. https://wtop.com/loudoun-county/2021/02/loudoun-co-superintendent-maps-path-to-expand-in-school-learning/
So foolish. The school board has GOT to just quit tinkering. We don’t even have kids IN the buildings yet on the hybrid concurrent plan and already they’re talking about changing it. Families need stability. Kids and staff need stability and routine. I’m so tired of them creating policy around themselves. Start hybrid. Let everyone get some consistency for once. Not to mention, the second they say it’s 4 day, a class of 6-7 kids becomes a class of 15. Contagious variants and no distance among 15+ = disaster. We can figure out hybrid concurrent as we go. But they need to chill out and focus on summer and fall and quit messing with plans before they even start. Nobody needs 2 different school plans and schedules to adapt to in the last 3 months of school. It’s nonsense.
