Men wearing gym shorts over tights/leggings

Compression tights are relatively new phenomenon. Maybe just in the past 10 years. DH is an athlete and has always had shorts over them. He also usually wears a shirt over his compression shirt. Warmth I think, but I'll ask. He runs shirtless in the summer.

He doesn't wear shorts over his bike leggings, but those are a bit thicker. And he's not jumping up and down like when he's running or doesn't care as much what women think of the side of his thigh outlined by the tights.

I used to do this when I was in HS! (Woman) I have no issue with men doing it, in fact I’m like thanks for not showing me your privates in spandex

Exactly this. My DH is guilty of wearing shorts over tights while running in cold weather. Sweatpants are too bulky for him.

My teenage son told me the other day that he wore tights with shorts over them to school last year and tons of kids told him they loved the outfit.

I don't get it but then again, I had angry bangs at his age back in 1988 so maybe I'm not in a position to criticize.

Men wearings shorts over leggings is much more attractive than a guy in just leggings with his parts on full display. Or flopping around in some shorts. And who wants to work out in sweatpants?!

Besides, I feel like the type of men to wear this style actually work out, and not just play dress up or go to the gym to show that they were there. They get the function, because function is important to a good workout. I dig it.

My one son started doing it to prevent turf burn when playing soccer .. slide tackle.

My oldest son plays college lacrosse in Boston so yea he wears tights over shorts.

I think most soccer snd lax players wear them depending on position/weather.
