Teacher concerned about DS’s size- how to handle?

Totally this. If the school doesn't handle it appropriately you probably don't want to continue paying them. I'd be horrified if this happened in my kids classroom.

Apart from dealing with teacher/school, I also suggest talking to your kid about this. They will hear this again from grown ups and kids. Not all of it is racism. People seem to think "wow, that kid is different and I must point it out to them for some strange reason." Seriously, as someone who was always the tallest kid, I remember this. My DD is 99th percentile and probably 75% of adults mention how tall she is to her or me. They don't all have bad intentions, but it can still have negative effect. I'm not at all trying to excuse the teacher's behavior, but talking to kid about how people may comment on their appearance and how to respond can help them have some control over the situation when it comes up again. Maybe you are already doing this, but just wanted to add to discussion in case.

EXOTIC? That is both clearly a sign of racism and an insane thing to say.

As for weight/height, I would have a very hard time not explaining to this teacher how percentiles work and ask if she/he really has the math/statistics background to be teaching your son.
