When Can Current ECNL Players Tryout for Other ECNL Clubs?

Most of the newer McLean players from MD came from
Montgomery Rush, who’s 06 team disbanded and the vast majority of the girls went to Bethesda and nearly replaced their entire 06 team. They were following coach Kevin Layton. One girl left McLean for MUFC.

And 05, 04, 03?

Nobody joined McLean 03 in the last two years from MD

I don't know any MRM Rush players at McLean and they didn't come because MoCo is shut down. All the player I know came to be part of a strong club. Maybe Bethesda wasn't the place but if you live in parts of MoCo, McLean is much closer than Pipeline and MUFC.

They have at least two from MRM Rush on the 06 team and one from MSI.

My understanding is May 1 is when players are permitted to try out with other ECNL clubs for the following season. Players can't be dropped from a current roster unless it qualifies under the transfer rule. If a player is looking to transfer and play with another ECNL club for the remainder of the current season (whatever is left), then both clubs have to agree to it and it needs the approval of the ECNL Commissioner (3.14.1). I think clubs can only add new players to their existing roster up until April 30. The ECNL competition rules can be found here from their website: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HHmt_Bk1MU-JXhvgW_XL78Hwquwd7rqaKYrUK1lL2lc/edit

It was said elsewhere that new rosters would be accepted for 2021-22 season in late June 2020.

I believe a kid can tryout for the next season whenever they want. The restrictions are on the current season only. That’s why an ID session is named differently than a practice. A player cannot “practiced” with another ECNL squad while on another ECNL squad but they can attend an ID session for the next season.

Although in the 6 years my daughter played in ECNL there were always, every year, guest players at her practice around this time of year.

So rosters already been set for last 10 months? If that’s the case then the 21-22 season is gonna be a show. Hahaha.

Knowing this is likely a typo, perhaps i misunderstood,
I can’t see any ecnl team waiting until june 2021 to lock down better rosters than the 20-21 season. Most of the current rosters are extremely weak in my DDs age group with gaping vulnerabilities that should be addressed by coaching and rosters.

So in essence the question is. When can we get out of BRYC to start playing for Mclean?

McLean doesn't want any BRYC players.

Mclean Parent wants all the current players replaced...including their own kid.

That is funny.
