| 'holistic review" was developed by Harvard to keep the jew population down. Seriously. |
Nope, they literally mean that kids are sent from India to this area to stay with relatives in 7th in order to be in position to apply to TJ. |
DP. Since when did McLean have "all-white" anything? It is only slightly over 50% white. McLean won the state Scholastic Bowl championship last year with a team that had several Asian members, but their team was in a different VHSL Group (Group 6) than TJ (Group 5). |
| How can the SB approve of a new admissions process that benefits whites the most using their own models? It doesn't make sense. Does the TJ application ask for race? If not, how will they know? Are they really going to go by names? |
| The beneficiaries will mostly be white kids who get to attend a slightly above average high school rather than Annandale, Lewis or Justice. |
Racist lies. This does not happen. |
Because one of their goals is to reduce the number of Asian Americans at the school, which this does. |
You know every kid admitted to TJ personally? In this area, I absolutely believe it to be true. How is that racist? |
Because the goal was never to help URM. |
|
When will TJ admission process be finalized and start accepting applications for 2025 class?
|
Correct, it does happen. Its not racist to admit it. |
People don't realize that merit testing (SAT, etc.) helped increase diversity (economic, gender, racial) at universities in this country. Everyone talks about how moving away from testing will help diversity when really it is the opposite. |

Exactly. But it is impossible to reason with emotional thinkers. https://thefederalist.com/2020/10/21/critical-race-theory-permeates-new-student-survey-in-fairfax-public-schools/ |

I'm interested to see their plan for increasing the numbers of hispanic students, who seem to really be the biggest losers in the magnet process given their relatively high demographic percentage in the county.
MCPS switching to universal testing barely moved the needle on hispanic participation at magnets. |
