Why are there so few Trump signs in DC, given all the conservatives who live and work here?

PP here, I’m sorry but your anecdata isn’t convincing, even though you’ve resorted to mentioning celebrities (with a side of pseudo-AAVE). The reality is that very few black people support Trump, especially women.

Agree. I don’t like or respect Trump on a personal level but I support most of his policies. My political beliefs certainly align more closely with his than Biden’s and especially Harris’s. Given some of the vitriol I see in the media on Facebook, etc., I’d rather not open myself up debate or worse by openly supporting Trump.

DH’s business partner is black and he early voted for Trump. I have at least two friends who voted for Hillary in 2016 and are now Trump supporters. I think the constant vitriol, cancel culture with complete intolerance for differing views is making for a lot of silent Trump supporters and I think the Dems will be surprised by the election results.

I didn’t engage in the Facebook post. I asked the admin of the page to take down pictures of my family (they did). I did email the person who reached out to my boss and ask that they don’t reach out to my employer based on unfounded accusations. If they had witnessed behavior that would be deemed racist by me or my family I invited them to let me know. I was livid and embarrassed that my employer was brought into it. However, I do work for a right leaning employer so my boss wasn’t a novice when it comes to things like this.

Supporting a party and administration that made orphans on purpose by abusing Hispanic refugees is racist.


This is why Trump supporters are afraid to be open about it.

Because in private, inside the conservative media lie bubble, they can tell themselves they’re not bad people.

But as soon as they go public with it in the DC are, they’re confronted with the facts. And they can’t handle the truth. They have no answers. They are confronted with their bad values and bad morals.

Same. Suburban woman who voted early for Trump. My family has a strong presence in law enforcement and there's no possible way I could vote in "Defund Democrats."

I don't talk politics with anyone unless I know for certain that they will truly listen to me and have a good-natured debate. I hate that spirited debate has been lost in the last 20 years. And I do partially blame the Republicans for this partisanship - Lee Atwater started this problem.

So using redistributing money in ways that might help police and the community is a problem for you? Interesting.
