Why are there so few Trump signs in DC, given all the conservatives who live and work here?

Most MAGAs are racist

How is this even a thread? Literally EVERYONE knows dems are violent.

Everyone knows your sons grow up to shoot and rape women. Republican men are the best at domestic violence, but republicans flip out when you mention that. How many DDs has your DH touched?

It explains why they're so eager to have black people support them. They want to use black people as a shield to hide their racism.

Sorry your husband left you, dear. But who could blame him?

Charlottesville says hello

And ANTIFA killers in Portland, Denver, Seattle, Kenosha, Austin, and other cities all wave back.

Heather Hyer’s murder has been paid back in-full, at 1,300% interest.

Because most of the conservatives around here are establishment republicans, not Trump supporters. Some will very well vote for him anyway, but are not necessarily excited about it. My boss falls into that category. A friend who works at DoD says there is no shortage of republicans within the agency itself, but many are pretty uneasy about Trump.

You said conservative. I work for a conservative think tank and everyone is voting for Biden. They HATE Trump. He goes against everything they believe in.

This is actually interesting. I am a Trump supporter, but have been a Republican for many years. I don't like listening to Trump bloviate, but I absolutely think that we needed a disruptor in Washington. The elites of Washington from both parties supported free trade, globalization and unfettered immigration. Though Republican voters were becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the massive cultural shift happening as a result of these policies, Republican leaders in Congress and Republican presidential candidates refused to make any change and represent their views in DC. They were also too weak to provide any pushback to Democratic social initiatives. After the Tea Party and Republican capture of Congress, voters expected some type of change and there was none. So finally, Republicans took a look at the potential candidates for 2016 and said, nope, not another one. One of the points of electing Trump was to put so-called conservatives in DC think tanks on notice.

Lots of people are predicting that Trump will kill the Republican Party. Actually, he has shown the party how to save itself by creating a coalition of people from all races who value work, entrepreneurship, expressions of faith, etc. The only question is whether the rest of the Republicans will be smart enough to follow his lead. If you are comfortable voting for Biden, I'd love to know exactly what kind of conservative that you are. From now on, there is no creating a party with both the Lincoln Project Republicans and strong Trump supporters. If he loses, many Trump voters will be totally disillusioned by the sabotage of many in the Republican Party and it won't rebound.

I'm just so baffled by this. In what fantasy world or alternate dimension do you live in where the Trump administration has created this? Even *attempted* to create this?! "Expressions of faith" like holding a Bible upside-down and banning travel from Muslim countries? "Entrepreneurship" like giving most of the PPP loans to crony large businesses? Valuing "people of all races" while dogwhistling to white supremacist organizations at every opportunity?! I'm a small-c [fiscal] conservative who wants the national debt paid down, bureaucracy slashed wherever possible, and strong national security from both economic and defense standpoints but you can't tell me with a straight face that the Trump-era Republican party offers any of those things.

I guess that I think you are the one in a fantasy world... because I look at the lowest poverty rate ever, lowest unemployment among Blacks and Hispanics, opportunity zones, etc. Expressions of faith... March for Life, religious liberty EOs, treatment of Israel, etc. Despite your protestations that you are a conservative, you must watch MSNBC if you think Trump has implemented a "Muslim Ban." The racist crap is just that... the figment of liberal imaginations. People of all colors who share those values are embraced. Honestly, the restrictions on immigration most benefits Blacks and Hispanics with lower levels of education, who saw real wages rising under Trump. So, my point was that the rest of the Republican Party needs to wake up.

Is that what your black friends think?

+1

Republicans with principles steer clear of Trump.

Most white people are. Virtue signaling doesn't hide the racism of the liberal whites. I'd just say those on the right are more self-aware.

Yes, that would be me. I don't like Trump, and would never invite him to my house. But I am voting againt the Democrats for the shenanigans they pulled during the Kavanaugh hearings. I'll be voting for Trump this time.

The left’s equivalent of the Stars of David in Nazi Germany seem to be Trump signs.

I’m still voting against republicans for the shenanigans they pulled during the Garland nomination.
