Lol. Probably not what OP had in mind. But you’re completely right! Jeep Wrangler! |
| DH still drives his 20 year old Civic around. It.won’t.die. |

If you want a car to last you the rest of your life, purchase a Honda or a Toyota.
You get the best of both worlds. Here’s why ↪️: Both auto brands have years on record for best reliability. Ask any auto mechanic. Also, these cars are easy to get parts for since many drivers own these brands. Finally since these cars are built to last - many people hold on to them much longer so they do not appear dated since there are a lot of people on the road w/these vehicles. Take a mid-nineties Accord for example. Even though it is a twenty-five yr. old model, it does not look as dated as a mid-nineties Hyundai Accent. |
| Our 2012 Toyota Highlander runs great and looks pretty damn good, though teen drivers are now doing a number on it. |
Parts are expensive. Years ago had a Camry and a Taurus. Same year. My Taurus parts were supercheap. Camry parts almost double the cost. I also found the Camry harder to fix. My motor mount in Camry went cost me $600. No way to get to had to go to dealer. I did some repair on Taurus years later for $20. Actually just used car jack lift engine a few inches and slid $20 part in. Funny yesterday I was behind a Taurus at a traffic light. I see a lot of Ford Taurus. Most are between 1985-1998 when a top seller. I saw on on I-95 the other day going 80. That is a 30 year old base model car, pretty impressive. I see way more 1980s Taurus’s vs 1980s canary’s and accords on the road |

Still driving our 2001 Subaru Outback, though it's not very pretty at this point.

Too new a brand to gauge. For fun went in car guru and eBay searched for used 1980–1990 cars. Surprisingly a lot of Fords and Mercedes for sale with pretty high miles. |

Probably a Ford truck, actually. |
| We just sold our 14 year old Honda CRV. While it wasn't the current model there are still plenty of the older ones out there so it didn't look that dated. And if we were willing to put a few $ into it it probably would have lasted several more years. |
| ^^^Yep. Because Hondas last forever.^^^ |
| I have a 2008 bmw 528i with 430k on it. Yes. 430k. Original engine. It's my work car. I bought it from car max in 2009 with 15 k on it. Damn car won't die. |
