Really? I'm in NC and don't know anything about him yet. Any Cal Cunningham/John Edwards vibes? We need someone who can keep it in their pants, FFS.

I think he went to bat for the teachers recently, so the Ed types in NC love him

If GA can hold, there might be opportunities for pick ups in PA and WI. If Rubio gets primaried, I could see a dem sneaking in in FL, and depending on the candidate, Grassley has to retire in IA, so there could be an outside shot there.

Oh, and Kelly should hold in AZ.

He is awesome! I am not in his current district (he's a state senator from outside Charlotte), but I was turned on to him a couple of years ago and have been following him on Facebook and am very impressed. Smart, straightforward, military experience (currently in the Reserves), married with 3 young children. Seems like a really, good, nice guy. Pro-science, pro-environment, pro-education, pro-choice. Follow him on Facebook/Twitter. I am super excited by him!

there is no justification for Grassley to run again, but I hope he claims he will.

Isn't the GA governor's race in 2022? If Stacey Abrams is on the ballot I think that she and Warnock have a real chance. Does GA have a strong Dem running for SOS?

Wow, I just checked Raffensperger’s ballotpedia and his SoS race was close - .5 ahead in the general, had to go to a runoff and won by 5. He’ll run all the 2022 races no matter what but he’ll probably get primaried, though.

Sen Portman (R-OH) will not be running for a third term in 2022.

This is interesting as he seems to edge against the MAGAs, so it could provide an opening in OH for a dem pick up.

That’s big news. I wonder if Tim Ryan could win it.
