Did you continue to have kids until you had at least one daughter and one son?

Best friend growing up: her brother ended up with 5 daughters as he and his wife tried and tried for a boy. Oh well.

^^ You just know those last 3 kids knew they were supposed to be boys!

I adopted and specified a girl. I got one. Then I did it again. I wanted NO surprises!

Single mom by choice here. I dreamed of a daughter and got twin boys. Could not be happier and grandparents are thrilled.

I have two boys and I’m absolutely done. I can’t go through TTC (takes a long time for us as we are apparently just not that fertile) and pregnancy again. Heck. No. I do get some people asking if I’m going to try again and “go for a girl,” but nope, not happening.

Honestly, yes. I mean, we would have had three even if first two had been a boy and a girl, but I think we are probably stopping at three and might not have if DC3 hadn’t been a girl. Although if I could have guaranteed a second girl I probably would have gone for it so she wouldn’t be the only one.

Had two boys, would have loved for the third to be a boy because we already had that rhythm. The third was a girl and we can’t imagine life without her. We love our children for who they are, not their chromosomes.

2 girls and so many people used to make comments about trying for a boy until I guess I got too old.

Soometomes god knows what she is doing as I would not know what to do with a boy. My family and extended family is grils girls girls!

I don't get why people do this these days. If I had my heart set on a specific sex I would just do IVF. No way would I keep having kids trying to get the opposite gender.

My father grew up in an Italian / Irish neighborhood. He got roped into taking a girl from a protective Italian family to the prom . There were 4 boys in the family and then finally the girl. 2 of the brothers came along to the prom date to "protect" the girl.

My dad says she probably became a nun!

I don't see anything cute about this story..
