That makes no sense. Aren't they teachers at Madison? Do any DJO kids evew play TC? I've seen a bunch of BI kids practicing with TC at STJ last year. DJO's program is a mess and they are struggling at Fierce Nation. |

Where is Rowlett going to coach in college, what program?
Most D1 programs and certainly D3 programs have been slashing coaching staffs as a result of Covid and having fewer revenue to fund their program. When he departed, did he state which program he was going to work for? |

+1
Sounds like he quit on the program and kids. |
What an absolute shame for the boys at DJO! |

I don't buy he is going to go coach in college as it would have already been announced.
And given he is a PLL lax guy, and most college recruiting takes place during the summer months, I don't see why a head college coach would offer him a job in the first place. Its generally the younger college assistants who traveling from club tournament to club tournament every weekend come June and July. He shouldn't have accepted the job if he was going to look for greener pastures 5 months into the job. |
There are a decent amount of guys involved in the PLL and before it folded MLL that are college coaches. There are others that coach club teams as well. How many of the folks on here wouldn't take a better opportunity if it presented itself? For a young assistant it's a job plus they can get a masters degree for free or a decent amount paid for by the school. I doubt he knew 5 months ago that a better position would be popping up. |
He's going to Georgetown. An asst coach job is not a better gig. It was minimum 3 years before DJO would be competitive. They'd lose to W-L at this point, They are awful and he quit. Great player but needs to learn how to be an adult. His tenure at STJ wasn't so great either. |
In the spirit of trying to be charitable, we don't know all the back story but he is definitely young. All of us have made mistakes and is it possible he could have handled this better, yes? But sounds like he at a minimum had second thoughts and better to step away before the season started than jump off mid race. Hes a great player and no need to damn someone for looking for opportunities. Lets just hope he lands well at Georgetown and all move on. |
| Jack is not listed as a coach on the Georgetown Men's Lacrosse website. If he is/has been hired it would be as the Volunteer Coaching position. The volunteer coach is unpaid but will earn income via clinics and camps. The volunteer position can be a stepping stone into more and better opportunities in the college coaching world. Jack is a fine young man and folks should wish him well. |

My question would be how did he tell the team about his departure?
Zoom meeting with players and parents? Or just an email to admin... This would reveal this young mans character more than anything. Remember that this situation does not effect many kids at all. Maybe 15 kids on Varsity actually care with 3 or 4 of those families upset. |
| Does it really even matter to you no boddies that have absolutely have not one fing thing to do wiyh DJO or this coach. How about you go do something else, I don't know maybe get a fing life!!! |
|
Ha ha djo
Ha ha lacrosse at djo Ha ha bro’s... |
| Like you stupid f^#*cs even know this young man and why he made a damn adult decision. Give me a fing break! |
|
DJO is life!
Why should we give him a break? Don’t tell me that I am not allowed to be pissed. Yes or No. Did he leave us high and dry? YES. Sorry that I have feelings. |
