When to move into a sexual relationship?

third date! me, too.... I'm convinced that the third date is the "sex date" (for many adults who have been sexually active for years. not counting those who met each other as young people)

Second date which was amazing for me given I was a prude and I’d only had sex with three guys and never before about two months. After our first date I called my sister to tell her I thought I had just met the man I wanted to marry. We had sex on our second date and that convinced me he was the one but it took me six months to get him to the same place.

It was a very long time ago because I can't remember how many dates we had had, but only a few, and she definitely initiated it to my pleasant surprise. We were making out on the couch and she said it would be more fun with fewer clothes on. I would have waited two months for that moment.

It was college.

Ours was a bit crazy as we had done a ton of things together over a couple year period that couples usually do - dinner, movies etc. But we were both in long distance relationships so we just stayed friends who killed time together. Both of the relationships ended before Christmas 25 years ago and that led to neither of us having real plans for New Year’s Eve so we decided to go clubbing together and we ended up at my place at 3am or so. We talked for about an hour and when he got up to go I asked him to stay and he did. So, I guess we had about 50 dates over two years before we got into a sexual relationship. When we woke up in the morning I was pretty sure what my future was.

Do you think you wasted two years?

So basically you cheated on the people you were dating. Did they know you were going out together while dating them?

In college but unable to figure out contraception... 🤔🤔🤔

Pp here who wrote the original post. Are you a woman? Yes, I was a bit paranoid and I wasn’t ready. When I was ready I was on the pill and we used condoms. Easier to be paranoid since nothing’s 100% and it gave me more peace of mind. It was also a bit long to explain we met, hung out for a month, started dating right before year ended, resumed following fall, and slept togehter a year later, but there you are.

3rd date, together 5 years before getting married.

First night we met. Both married to other people. Knew right away we wanted to be together. Now happily married.

We weren’t dating! No hand holding, no kissing, no anything. At the time I was in a very nice relationship so I had no desire to cheat but eventually the long distance issue ended it.

When you want to have sex.

We were young coworkers and we often flirted but never dated because of company policy but there was something there. One Saturday he had a big party at his house and when it ended I offered to stay and help clean up. Later we were on the couch and the flirting started and then we realized we wanted to do more than just flirt. There was zero hesitancy on my part about having sex which was a surprise given my dating history.
