Capital has and always will be stronger than MC and it still is the premier club in the area (this coming from someone with another club). MC did indeed lose 8 players to 24s, same with 23s the previous year. The problem with MC is putting their Midnight team in A+ brackets all of the time for A- teams. Gotta give the girls at least a few tournaments where they can get some wins. It's no fun getting crushed all of the time and not all Midnight teams are made the same. 22s? Heck yea they are really strong and deserve those A+ brackets. But not all are made equal. |

Trust me, no one is going to learn anything or develop any skills getting beat like that. They probably didn’t complete more than 10 passes all game and maybe less because it’s possible, if not highly likely, they didn’t win a single draw. |

Have you read the thread? Paid attention to the title? Why would you ask such an idiotic question? The title of this thread is BLC Blue vs Orange. You all have not talked about BLC in two pages. If I really have to spell it out for you, that's the reason for the question.

Except even the MCElite ‘22 team is rarely put in the A+ brackets. They play M&D red, Hero’s white and Capital Orange more often that the A teams of those clubs. They usually beat the B teams but not the A teams. |

So as a parent of younger ones make this clear for me....everyone claims that MC Elite has a great 22 class as an effort to legitimize MC Elite....but now you are saying that the 22s are playing B teams? So therefore it is obvious that MC Elite can not compare to Capitol correct? So the whole theory of choose MC Elite over BLC because it goes through high school is irrelevant because girls leave MC Elite for other programs in 9th grade anyway. great..... |

*Not everyone can make Capitol. *Those girls who don’t make Capitol may not want to travel to Baltimore or even Howard County to join one of those teams. *Just because a girl is not good enough to join Capitol, doesn’t mean they should give up playing Club lax once they reach high school age. The MCPS lacrosse teams suck. MC Elite is probably provides a better playing experience than public school teams. *If you have a younger kid, choose that club that yes, has good coaching but is also convenient for you then worry about high school when your child is old enough. They may be good enough for Capitol. You may not mind making the commute to Baltimore. You may not mind commuting to VA for Pride practices. But if you don’t, MC is an option. *It just would be nice if there were another option in MoCo too. |

The MC Elite 2022 team plays in various brackets but, no it usually isnt in the very top bracket at tournaments. Once in a while it is. Last fall however, and this summer, they played int he same bracket as Capital Orange and M&D Red and Heros White. Keep in mind that tournaments have far more than A and B brackers. In the case of the three clubs mentioned above, and other elite clubs like Skywalkers, Monsters, Florida Select, their A team plays in the very very top bracket in every tournament (lets call it the A+ bracket). Their B teams (Orange, Re, White and White) play in the next bracket down (say the A or sometimes the A- bracket). Some other excellent club teams like TLC, Big 4 HHH, CT Grizzlies, etc.. float between the A+ and A/A- brackets depending on how large a tournament is. Some tournaments have 8 or so different brackets and at a cetain point they are all filled with teams you have never heard of. MC Elite's top 2022 team tends to float between the different A brackets. Its doesnt mean ithe team is not a great team, it is. Its just not as establsihed and its hard to consistently win in the A+ bracket. Sadly, MC Elite doesnt seem to have done aythiong to extend their winning program beyond the 2022s so none of this even matters. |

Thank you for this. Very helpful. I am hopeful BLC will now be that other option. I know many of the parents with older kids will say that there is no way BLC can do it but I get the impression that with the new middle school program they really hope to do it. We will see I suppose. |

No.... again.... they play in the Howard County League..... according to the website the play Hero’s tomorrow. |
