They have 1 - a 27/28 team with a total of 12 girls from what I saw before the website went down. Not good for the program. They also combined 24 and 25 Carolina teams with it being more 25 than 24. Honestly, they should really focus on getting the 1 quality team per age group - sans 26s which does seem to have a solid squad. |
Although that seems to be the best thing to do....one team per grade with great coaching....the fact is they will take anyone's money....and that is why it continues....some of these orgs are nonprofits and some are very much for profit and that obviously makes a difference |
Agreed. Some do it to try to keep people away from the big clubs but the truth is, very few clubs can adequately provide 2 decent teams per age group. Heck, M&D can't even field a 26 Red or 27 Red according to their website. Eventually, those 2nd teams at the bigger clubs weaken as they realize they won't move to the 'A' team, don't get nearly the same benefits, and that's where some of the parity comes in. Grass isn't always greener at these big clubs. |
| Looks like 8 MCElite Midnight 2024 players left for Capital, 4 on the A team and 4 on the B. What will happen to the ones who are left? Do they still have anough for a decent A team? |
Not based on their results from the NGLL Labor Day Weekend.... 0-6 and closest games were a 12-3 lost to Integrity and an 11-5 loss to Hero's white. Rest were double digit losses. Shame, that team was pretty good and had stayed relatively consistent over the years. |
The 9th graders are playing in the NGLL? 2024 are now in high school. That cant be right unless maybe it was the 9th grade team playing a make-up from the summer? Even if it wa sa make-up, I doubt the ones who moved to Cap would be allowed to play. Maybe thats your point. Losing 8 players would kill most if not all teams. |
It was a playday that the NGLL used in lieu of the spring season (aka so Robinson didn't need to refund money) so there were still 2024 brackets. https://admin.tourneymachine.com/Public/Results/DivisionEmbed.aspx?IDTournament=h202008141238222311102b5dafc0b4b&IDDivision=h202008171424103347351306b6cb84a |
| So what does MC Elite have??? Do they have competitive teams at any age group? I guess we don’t know because the make up of each team has changed so much. |
| still no MC Elite website? strange |
It's now been a week, which is just not good at all for a club. Social media is free to keep up, not a website and this is not really good for a business. |
Do you really think you would discover an organization going debunk with their website going down? LOL. That would not be the way, trust me. |
|
The MC website is back up.
What is happening to them? I see 2025 only has one team and there is the combined 27/28 that also only makes up one team. What is going on with their younger girls? Why can't MoCo get at least one quality club at the high school level? |
| The quality club program for high school seems to be Capitol. MC does not seem to have any younger teams but BLC has two 2030 club teams and two 2029 club teams playing in the McLean Box League. Next Level has 2029 teams playing at McLean as well. Not sure what is going on at MC for the younger ones. |
| Nice plug there for Capital. The 2024 MC Elite players are pretty strong, but many girls across several teams and clubs skipped the NGLL so I wouldn't read much into those results. |
PP here and I have no reason to plug Capital but based on the quote here it seems 2024s left MC and went to Capitol. This along with other things I have read led me to believe that Capitol is a stronger club than MC. |
