Food fight: Among chains, Ledo is the best pizza

Anonymous
Here is a blast from my midwestern past: Rocky Rococco’s. Anyone know it?

Ps, thanks for a diversion from all the bad news.

The sauce is way too sweet, I can't believe it's as popular as it is. I'd much rather eat Domino's (which, for the record, is also not good pizza).

OP here. I also like Donatos. But I grew up in Columbus.

Does McDonalds own them now?

Ledos must be a Maryland bama thing. I’ve never had it. Grew up locally too.

Dominos Brooklyn crust with the right selection of toppings to overpower the cheap cheese is decent in a pinch.

Pizza Bolis is solid and fresh.

Best delivery on the Hill is We the Pizza. Obviously better cheese and tasty crust.

If I had to pick a chain, i’d go with Pizza Hut b/c that’s what I grew up with.

Remember the checkered plastic tablecloths and the red soda glasses? Good times.

Yes! We used to get a whole pitcher of soda, it felt so decadent.

Yes!

I remember going to a Salvadoran restaurant in dc years ago, and the decor looked vaguely familiar. I asked the waitress, “did this used to be a Pizza Hut?” She nodded yes.

Really, pizza in Rome and Naples is disappointing??

You think PP would take such a pedestrian trip as one to Italy? I am sure she is talking about the pizza in La Paz, Phnom Penh, and Dar al Salaam.

Vocellis is good! Is that a chain?

Another Ledo hater here. My kids like Pizza Boli's.

Small chain of 3 Wiseguys is my favorite.

Is Mama Lucia a chain? Their pizza is pretty good.

I cannot figure out if it’s the sauce, the crust or the fact that they don’t cut corners.

Amen! I'm with you ~

Independent shops always make the best pizza. That being said, for chains, it's Godfather's -- cold, on a high school morning, for breakfast.
