Food fight: Among chains, Ledo is the best pizza

Other than Ledo, I usually make my own or get from a non-chain italian. Does mama luisa count as a chain around here? Their pizza isnt terrible although I don’t really crave it.

I do like their pepperoni. I didn’t grow up here and my only Ledo experience is eating it at community events.

Really, pizza in Rome and Naples is disappointing??

DP, but yes, I thought it was.

I guess it is a valid point, pizza is by definition a cheap, filling food.

But personally I loved the pizza I ate when in Naples and have been searching for it here ever since with no luck.

I hate the weirdly textured crust + too much sugar in the sauce. Even my kids won’t eat it!

This. I hate Ledo.

+1, another hater here. I dislike the crust and the sauce and consider it more a flatbread than pizza.

+2

Maybe it’s the Jersey in me but that sh!t is like ketchup on cardboard.

Some people don’t like pizza. They should not come and whiz all over our fun!

If I had to pick a chain, i’d go with Pizza Hut b/c that’s what I grew up with.

Pizza Hut was good back in the 80s when they made crusts in house.

This. About once a year I get Pizza Hut hoping too like it because I loved it as a kid. Not the same.

I hate Ledo! The crust is so weird and not pizza crust. Not sure what I’d pick for chain pizza. Maybe Papa John’s. My kids like Dominoes because they like the crust. But I don’t like their sauce.

Love ledos. Love. Pepperoni or cheese. We also order dominos cause it’s super cheap. I loathe Pizza Hut.

Ledo’s is really awful. I can’t even eat it. And Two Amy’s is way overrated, while we’re at it!

I don't care what pizza you prefer, as long as you don't refer to an above ground marinara pool for rats as "pizza."

Got pizzas a couple times here. The last time I got home and saw small cockroaches in the pizza. Threw it out. My kids love ledos from friends’ bday parties but I’ve told them we can’t get ledos ever again.

Also, ice cream is terrible and puppies are ugly.

For the DC area, I actually prefer Costco pizza to all of the ones that have been mentioned so far. Mostly I can wait until I go to NYC (John’s on Bleeker) or New Haven (Yorkside) for a pizza fix.

You know what stinks? Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
