Supermarket Sweep

I don’t know how people miss the mini sweep. There is a little round sticker on the item and they still miss it. It’s right in front of them.

I know there's a 5 item limit. But can't you get as many similar items from the same section? Like how people got for some of the OTC meds...why wouldn't I do 5 Tylenol, 5 Advil, 5 benedryl etc. Don't waste time running around or switching carts. After getting the Giant ham and cheese wheels, you need a new cart. Why not just stick with one pricier section and load the cart the whole time?

Hi are you me??? Bc as a 9 year old child I never understood why people didn't load the whole bottom of their 1st cart with OTC MEDS and pregnancy tests instead of eventually getting to those? They take up no space and then you have literally hundreds of dollars lining the bottom of the first cart with all the meat and cheese on top that can't all fit to the bottom anyway! I wanted to scream this eveyrtime. I seriously could do a $1k cart the first time!

I've never understood this either. They go to all this effort to pick exactly 5 of one type of medicine out. I'm wondering why they can't just go down the aisle flicking five of each different product intro their cart.

There has to be a limit for type of item. Look at the meat section--they always get 5 turkeys, 5 hams, 5 salamis, 5 blocks of cheese. I don't even know what else is there because nobody ever gets anything else, but there has to be something in between. I have spent way too much time in the age of the internet trying to find the "rules," and all I've found is the $25 penalty for not putting dropped items back, and another penalty for getting more than 5.

Just don't be this guy. But you should have known, with only 1:40 for the big sweep: https://youtu.be/f9p9QN4XAKw

I totally get it but my at home guilty pleasure is The Price is Right. Brings me an hour of mindless fun entertainment every work day. Helps break up the monotony.

I love the eyeroll from his partner when the camera cut to her "cheering him on."

My 8yo and I share a love for Let's Make a Deal. I promised her we'd go be in the audience when she turns 18.

I wonder if they were able to film the new version since the pandemic started?

I guess they could all wear masks and it wouldn't be hard to socially distance in a grocery store if there are only two other shoppers.

I really hope it airs; I have little else to live for.

OP, this thread is all that is good about DCUM. I come here for all kinds of information, and certainly whenever I want to hear honest opinions about something, even if I will be called dim/a liar/unhinged in the comments. But this thread has given me the gift of re-watching Supermarket Sweep and marveling in the glory of the very large hair on the contestants and the snacks of yesteryear, like Kudos.

Thank you, OP.

Just running down the aisle all arm out knocking all the cereal into your cart. I dream of it.
