Same. With the caveat that of mom has been for it and you have been the roadblock, it could be a fun surprise. But you need to know that mom is 100%?on board. |
I have 10 tattoos and have never in my entire life dyed my hair. So that cancels out one of your blonde nieces. |
| Overtone or something like Common Panda. You don’t want to bleach anything. |
And I dyed my hair purple and dark red several times as a tween and teen and I have zero tattoos. This all cancels out the "blond nieces" anecdote. |
What she said. -another mom I would personally be okay with clip on extensions or chalk, but if my husband didn’t consult me first, I would be livid. |
As another mom, I would not be livid. I'd be happy that dad is doing something fun and special with daughter. |
| Some of you moms are really uptight. Then again I have a tattoo - are you clutching your pearls yet? |
The truth comes out. This is a really bad idea. You do not alter your daughter’s hair in any way without her Mom’s approval. WTF are you thinking??? |
| How do you prevent staining on clothes, towels, the bathtub, etc? |
Nah, go for it, Pops. It'll wash out and mom can just be mad. -another mom |
| Do the temporary paint on dye |
Completely disagree. You don’t make decisions like this without your spouse. |
| OP here - going the wax but looks like most wouldn’t get here in time so go to grocery store or CVS. Or maybe Alta is better if it opens? |
Your marriage was already in trouble, correct? You are evil. |
+1. I don’t think OP would’ve proposed it if he were married to someone who’d freak out about it. My 3rd grader absolutely has friends who’ve dyed their hair, same with several neighbors (DC). Heck, I was just talking to a dad down the street who had his hair dyed blue. I’d be okay with it if my husband and daughter did this—would be cute as long as eventually washes out. Something new to do during quarantine. |
