I go to work every day. Dh goes to the grocery store once every couple weeks. We get most things delivered. I get curbside takeout at lunch and sometimes for dinner. We drive to a park with the kids on the weekend and go on unpopulated trails. |
Weekend walks with masks, since our paths and streets are too packed with people, some of whom have trouble social distancing. We are outside in our yard a lot, too.
In terms of trips to stores or gas station, etc, we have limited that to once every two weeks. But I need to make a trip to the bank, vet and drug store at some point. Have put it off hoping cases would plunge in our area, but they haven’t yet. |
We don’t have a yard but go to a park every day (not a playground - it’s a garden along a running/walking path) and there are lovely lawns and gardens. We walk there everyday and play for a few hours alone. I have no clue why more people don’t bring their kids there but I’m glad they don’t! It’s been a true godsend through all this.

Daily. Running, biking, walking with the kids, etc. |
Since March 14th I've been to:
CVS twice Walgreens once Liquor store once To pick up takeout twice (same place), and it was on a table outside We order Whole Foods and Target. I will go see my parents this weekend - would like to take them a few things I have gotten for them. They are 45 minutes away. I walk almost every day about 3-4 miles, so theoretically I go up to 2 miles away daily, but that's not what you mean. |
I'm pregnant. Due next week with DC#2. The only times I've gone past our front yard in the last 6 weeks have been for prenatal appointments and ultrasounds. I'm going absolutely stir crazy here, but I keep getting told to be super cautious because I'm so close to the end of pregnancy. The last thing I want to do is show up to deliver and find out I have covid. |
I grocery shop once a week, I go for a run every other morning, and I ride my electric scooter down to The Mall every afternoon to whichever site is least populated. There have been some days when I've been the only person at The FDR or Jefferson Memorials. My roommate and I share a 500 sq ft apartment, so I'd probably lose my mind if I didn't go out. |
I do curbside grocery pick up twice a month. DH goes to our mailbox at the post office every ten days. He goes between 12 and 2 am and no one else has been there. We have bike and walking paths in our development and walk on nice days, but mostly play in our backyard. |
We practice our bug-out routine every weekend. Full on practice to our safe place. |
Not in DC but in the suburbs. We take the dog on two neighborhood walks a day. DD, 3, goes on the evening walk. DH has been to the Post Office (he has a PO Box for work) about once a week and we’ve been to the grocery or done a Target pick up about once a week since March 13th. Aside from a few doctors appointments (OB and pediatrician once) we’ve been home ever since. DD hasn’t left our neighborhood since March 20th |
Every day.
I run on the trails (Arlington) or neighborhood streets. I go on bike rides with my son several times a week. I go to the grocery store probably once a week. |
This is what I imagined things would be like in Phase Two, not now! You are going to work every day, getting lunch out every day, getting dinner out sometimes, your husband is going to the grocery store instead of you. Just wow. |
We go out twice a day for walks or bike rides. We live in an apartment with young and very active children and we feel like we have to get out this much to survive. |
NP, but not everyone has the ability to WFH. I have lots of friends and family who are still going in to work every day. |
Grocery store/CVS/liquor store once a week.
Office once a week (small business, need to pick up paperwork, print checks etc). Walk or run around neighborhood daily (also ride Peloton on screened-in porch, almost like being outside). |
