Or others cannot get past their own selfishness and let other people make decisions for themselves. Get over yourself. Would you say the same if our President says things should be open, but you kept your store shut? Would that be selfish? Or would that be your own decision? This America. You can expect a lot more of this. And we can expect a lot more of the carping above. |
Yes, agreed. I keep my kids in the closet and feed them through a doggie door. |
This is the dumbest argument I’ve heard yet. |

https://www.arlnow.com/2020/03/26/just-in-arlingto...-rises-above-50/#disqus_thread According to early CDC data, 88% of ICU admissions for COVID-19 — the most severe cases — were among those 45 years of age or older. Those with underlying medical conditions are also at heightened risk. No one is totally in the clear, though — there have been severe cases among some younger, healthy patients, as well. If you notice in the chart 20-29 year old range currently has more confirmed positives than the 30-39, 40-49 and 70-80+ age ranges. |
| Selfish and irresponsible parents. Kids do not decide by themselves. These parents putting their kids in high risk. Parents you have to respect your kids lives and their health or you may regret when kids get sick. Kids are kids and can’t understand but parents you should be a good example to your kids by following rules. I’d prefer my kid staying home do what he can do for training by himself, at least I am a avoiding that he becomes sick and end up with no future at all in any sport due to weak lungs or other disease. |
I was just at a public turf field and there was one trainer there working 1v1 with a player. Honestly, it didn't look bad. Keeping plenty of distance. This did not worry me any NEAR as much as everyone else at the field with friends. Groups of 3 or 4 kids kicking the ball around. Sitting next to each other on their phones, sharing phones, and taking water breaks together, etc. Comingled families riding bikes around the park, stopping next to each other, etc etc. Honestly, I think a professional adult trainer with a soccer player is the least of our worries. Why are people so stupid? Like someone said...it's all no big deal til the kid is in the hospital all alone for weeks or the parent is and who is going to watch your kids when you are laying in the hospital. Think about it. What are the priorities? Keep your distance! Please! |
Where was this? Around us the police are making rounds... |
as this starts happening everywhere, behavior will change. Americans can't follow orders until the 'see it' which is dangerous when this is something that people need to be out front of before they see it. |
there are no parks available for this type of training. Nothing indoor and all parks in all VA counties are closed and you will be ticketed for ORGANIZED training on a closed field. The parking lots all have barriers up now. There are still folks on the fields but it's ones and twos. |
Same here (prince william and fairfax) - park police and state police making rounds and ticketing |
It’s not an argument. It’s an observation. I would not expect you to understand amidst all your hysteria. |
Please don’t say. We will have the little ninnies on here calling the police and getting kids in trouble. Just like the FB moms going around their neighborhoods and posting videos of kids playing together. |
The kids around here are so good the police come to watch and applaud. |
Best post of the month. By far. Well done. |
Drove to 5 different fields in PWC yesterday and they’re closed. Long park had some kids on it and with a coach private training. He offered to train my kid. |
