I don't care if it's named after some guy named Lynch, they are fools to keep the name.

They are the university/college with dorms/campus-life best situated in the nation to transition to full online-only classes. They clearly know how to do it and could make it work for their resident-students and tell them not to come back from spring break.

That is because it is a half step above Trump University in value and execution.

THis is unnecessary. Can you please take your vitriol to another forum, like politics, please?

I didn’t write the above but there is zero wrong with that statement.

Liberty University is a crappy place.

Before this all happened there was a women in front of me in line at the grocer store. She just came from a coaches meeting for her freshman high school son that happened to be mixed race. The coach of her sons team said not to stay over night and to pack food etc because Liberty would not be a nice place for them to be. WTH....

Liberty and Trump go hand in hand.

Liberty University, the ultra-religious Christian university, is reopening next week post-Spring Break.

Harvard University, top-tier Ivy League university, is shut down and all students distance learning for the foreseeable future. Harvard's president and his wife have also both tested positive for coronavirus.

Literal Darwin Award is due here.

As in, when your university denies evolution, it’s likely to commit acts of self-destruction.

We all know that if #44 was in the White House, we would not be in half as bad shape as we are now with this viral pandemic. I cannot believe that Liberty's President (ie #45's base) is doing this and totally disregarding what the rest of the world is telling us about social distancing... very sad

The weird thing about this is 80% of Liberty students are ALREADY online-only. They are the university/college with dorms/campus-life best situated in the nation to transition to full online-only classes. They clearly know how to do it and could make it work for their resident-students and tell them not to come back from spring break.

Right? It’s like there’s not good reason to invite students back unless you’re sucking up to the President.

Just because you don’t want it to be true doesn’t mean it’s false.

The funny part is that they agree that the reference to Trump University is using vitriol. But yeah. Their president is trying to kill them just like ours is.

You mistake anecdotal evidence for data.

Kids of color being flat-out told they shouldn't expect to be able to sleep on campus is a pretty strong anecdote, to be fair.

Relying on a stranger in the grocery check-out line.

Uh huh.

Liberty is a joke run by a family of charlatans. Of course they are returning to class. If you’re a Liberty family and think this is okay you chose the right “school”.

Please, it's well known that area is totally racist. And coaches for years have been saying don't sleep over if you are a person of color. Liberty is a place that breeds, idiots. For parents who think they are sending their kids to a place where no one drinks, premarital sex and learns any science, HAHAHAHA.

My coworker just got her PHD from Liberty. It was mostly on-line, except for a few weeks a year when in-person attendance was mandatory.

Better to stick centrist/education-oriented schools that do not have a political agenda, where you get an education, not propaganda.

You are kidding right?

Liberty is dangerous period, science deniers. There is no "liberal" school that fits that bill.
