Haha - Lynchburg is a shithole and their hospital is crap. I have lots of family there and....I would not recommend. Gonna get fun. Hope their God can produce ventilators and competent doctors.

Lynchburg was a great place to live until around the time Thomas Road Baptist Church moved to Candler’s Mountain Road. The City let the Falwells and LU have whatever they wanted and the university basically bought up property all over, making it “tax exempt”, which ruined the city’s tax base. There are many long-term residents who hate what’s happened to the place with Liberty’s growth.

The weird thing about this is 80% of Liberty students are ALREADY online-only. They are the university/college with dorms/campus-life best situated in the nation to transition to full online-only classes. They clearly know how to do it and could make it work for their resident-students and tell them not to come back from spring break.

That is because it is a half step above Trump University in value and execution.

I read that classes will still be delivered online (to comply with the 10 people or less rule imposed by the state). I'm hoping that the students are smarter than the university admins and will just stay home.

Most colleges nowadays have online teaching. Liberty is a dump and full of idiots. They have already told over 5000 students to come back to campus, including living in residential campus housing. They worry more about pro nouns and abortions than anything else. Lynchburg will be hurting in about two weeks time maybe three. Hospital workers should not tend to them.

1. Finally, Lynchburg will be #1 at something.

2. Liberty, Regent, Bob Jones, Hillsdale, Grove City, and others should be encouraged to re-open RIGHT NOW. They need to understand that there is NO such thing as a "coronavirus," nothing of that nature is mentioned in the King James Version, and they must return to campus ASAP.

Because, science!

Just wait til all those students come back from their spring break with asymptomatic cases and start spreading it around the dorms. Think the people of Lynchburg should guars the entrances so they can't leave.

Lynchburg would really be helped if they changed their name Yes I know it's named for someone and not something terrible, but I consider the area full of doofuses for not bettering their PR image.

I think you misunderstand. They sent them home for spring break and switched over to online learning. They were told not to come back this year, just like every other sensible college in the state. The University of Lynchburg is completely different from Liberty.

They are filled with people who celebrate ignorance.

...also sounds like Jerry Falwell is desperate for some attention...

What is wrong with these people? Doctors and nurses are dying willingly to take care of sick people in an unprecedented pandemic and idiots like those as Liberty university are putting up their middle finger to all of us who care about public health.
