Liberty university should open and they all should mingle with each other. Then they should go home and mingle with their family members in their own homes. I have no problem with this at all.
Even better - they should get a lot of usual guest speakers. Better at Liberty University than say...Charlottesville. |
There are approximately 13,000 students with 60% living on campus. It's not acceptable in anyway for this school to reopen unless totally online, which they are not considering doing. These idiots should not get medical care. |

I grew up in Lynchburg but live in the DMV now. I keep up with the news down there, and the locals are furious! There are 2 hospitals- Lynchburg General and Virginia Baptist - and they would be completely overwhelmed if returning Liberty students cause a Covid-19 outbreak.

| Does the governor have the right to shut them down like he did with the k-12 schools? |
Yes, I feel sorry for the car crash victims, people who have strokes or heart attacks , and others who are being sensible. |
The hospitals should declare that students who risk coming back to campus will be on their own if they become ill. They should go to the Liberty campus health center instead! |
| Good they get what they deserve. They should setup a temp hospital just for them and staff it only if medical staff and equipment are available. |
| Gotta make that money somehow. The pool boy doesn't have the funds to start his own business! |
| Anybody watch The Righteous Gemstones? That’s the Falwells to a T. |
I was thinking the same thing

The Times-Dispatch article predicts several hundred to 5,000 students will be returning...
...sounds like the university doesn't have a clue what to expect or plan for... ...also sounds like Jerry Falwell is desperate for some attention... |
Haha - Lynchburg is a shithole and their hospital is crap. I have lots of family there and....I would not recommend. Gonna get fun. Hope their God can produce ventilators and competent doctors. |
Virginia will surely see a spike. But I guess that's what happens when you are looking for the Rapture. Of course, young people don't die all that often - they may just face a lifetime of lung problem and more. Running recklessly into the void. |

| Meanwhile, tiny University of Lynchburg had the sense to send everyone home and go online over their spring break. |
