Trump replaced Maguire with Grenell after raging over House briefing on 2020 election threats

National security information is simply not getting to this President.

That is probably a good thing, when the President is clearly a Russian asset.

When you combine it with all the career professionals having been ousted from the NSC and State, it means the IC has no one listening. No one.

That’s exactly how Mitch and Cheater Cheato want it. It’s terrifying.

Imagine if the DNI warned the House Intelligence Committee that terrorists might try to bomb the U.S. — and the President got mad, fired him, and then appointed someone who would deny this was a threat...and GOP went along with it.

That is what is happening right now.

Yep.

And the whole republican party is supporting it.
With maybe the exception of Mitt Romney.

+1. How many times must we say this?

When did a friendship with Russia become the “cool” thing for democratic societies?

The conspiracy theorist in me rises and suggest Trump is siphoning off all the oil he can get with Russia to fuel his rockets. He is going to destroy our earth, create major chaos and war, then leave Earth with Elon Musk and a handful of women for procreation to start a new colony on mars.

Just kidding. Kinda.

Kesh Patel is now a senior advisor to Grennell.

Good lord.

Pretty much. And worse.

You all are so FOS.

President Trump didn't fire him in response to the briefing, He is literally REQUIRED BY LAW to step down.

From The New York Times:

"....under current law limiting the duration of postings for acting cabinet-level officials, Mr. Maguire must step down next month."

And, you do know that Ric Grenell has been pretty tough on Russia in his role as ambassador?

What's his qualifications for this new role, besides licking Trump's boots?

And how is he going to do this role and be ambassador at the same time? Oh and also being the special envoy to Kosovo-Serbia talks. Looks like he's got Jared syndrome.

So the entire ODNI is being cleaned out. Anyone who supports Donald Trump is a traitor to their country.

A week of huge departures from the senior ranks of ODNI: GC Jason Klitenic left earlier this week, Maguire ousted yesterday, PDDNI Andrew Hallman expected to depart tomorrow.

I would say the GOP owns this, but I think we all know and embrace it.

Our republic is crumbling in broad daylight.

How so?

Do you know what the DNI does?

+1. Also note that Germany has a rising of the “alt right” that is likened often to US Trump supporters. It’s frightening. He distanced the Us from our allies from day 1, chooses to remove all precedent, lies and silenced vocal objections, creates public distrust intentionally for a voter base. Now this?

Please, Germany has a whole host of problems because of Merkel and her immigration policies. Jeez, that place is a disaster now and I think you will see more and more German nationals fighting to retain what is rightfully theirs, it's not alt right neo crap as you are trying to insinuate, it's people responding the the god awful immigration policies of the Merkel administration.

Meanwhile Fox "news" spun it as "Trump angry that Russia is interfering in election."

This is outrageous. Russia intelligence agency now openly interfering in our 2020 election and also in Democratic primary. And Trump’s response is to fire the DNI director and install a toady. GOP leaders are selling the country for power. If Americans do not wake up tho time 2024 would be too late.

2020 will be too late. The GOP is now the Regime.

It is the Trump Regime.

He will cheat this year (again) and then we will have junior and Ivanka until after I die.

This article is even more germane today than when it was written.

It is clear our president is not acting in the interests of the United States. What is left to stand up to what is coming?

Problems like the mass shooting in Frankfurt yesterday? Is that because of Merkel and her policies?
