How have you handled Grandparents who smoke?

She was extremely lucky to get you out of her life and your children lost out. Your control issues are a million times worse than smoking ever could be

Oh, just stop with the drama! They are not choosing smoking over your child's health. They have an addiction which is no worse than any other addiction. What a truly stupid thing to say. Millions of children of my generation grew up with parents, teachers, grandparents, neighbors who smoked and very few of us died from COPD, secondary smoke problems, lung cancer.

I am a reformed smoker and quit with my first pregnancy because it made me so sick. But, there are still times when I feel like a cigarette and I quit 25 years ago!

They are absolutely choosing their addiction over the health of your child. I’m sorry this is a hurtful truth for you, and I applaud you for kicking a tough habit

— daughter of a lifelong smoker, who we’re all watching die of lung cancer right now. She chose her addiction over healthy years with her children and grandchildren.
