Keep crying. If it isn’t your thing that is fine.

Is it that difficult? You match your socks every day right?

Socks come in a pair. And people can see them.

Most higher lingerie comes is offered in a set or coordinating collection. I see my lingerie and so does bum DH. I like looking good for myself and DH doesn’t appear to mind either.

The bun part was typo, meant “my”. He is far from a bum.

? What is the problem.

NP, it is better to match your bra to your top and your panties to your bottom. White t? Nude smooth bra. Black pants? Black thong. Matching sets with the heavily embellished details are great... But not with clothes!

Back to the OP's original question. I too wonder why women's underwear is so pricey. I like the natori bikinis or the hanky panky thongs. They aren't cheap, but they're basically no material whatsoever. I only have a couple of bras though but they cost $100+. Frankly I need to go in for another fitting because after 4 years of pregnancy, postpartum and nursing, I have changed sizes numerous times and nothing seems to fit now.

You can match both and not all lingerie is heavily embellished.

You do realize the only people that wear ugly molded cup nude bras under white (or ever) are Americans, right? Go to any lingerie store in Europe and you won't find nude bras or very few.

Matching is easy and all high end brands and most mid range brands make sets. Some view them as part of an outfit. If yours are a ratty mismatched nude colored after thought, that's fine, but it doesn't make your opinion any more right than someone who prefers the former.

What's wrong with wearing things that Americans wear? We ARE Americans. In America... Who are you trying to be?

speaking on behalf of most men, THANK YOU to Op and her like-minded sisters. You have no idea what that visual does for the man in your life - I say this as I have an amazing DW who shares your beliefs.

Wait, you have to be conventionally attractive to spend money on underwear? Who knew! Someone tell luxury stores to update their policies.

The people who can afford such expensive underwear are few and far between. Majority will not look like this model-

guy here - wow, great rack. but I don't find her conventionally attractive.

Because it was stated as wearing nude is the "right" way to wear lingerie and that isn't true. It is a personally preference not a rule
