Why are women’s underwear so expensive?

Anonymous
Meh, I just "upgraded" my bras and some of my panties, and spent less than $200 on four bras at three panties at Macy's. Bras are Warner's (I can't do underwire, so they are the wireless, but so comfy!), panties are Natori.

OP, I feel ya. I wear Natori too. I'm tiny on top so I don't need feats of industrial engineering in my bras. I only wear matching sets so the panties are where it really adds up. Ugh. I don't have an answer for you, just commiseration.

Wait, you have to be conventionally attractive to spend money on underwear? Who knew! Someone tell luxury stores to update their policies.

The people who can afford such expensive underwear are few and far between. Majority will not look like this model-

LOL. I am sure (100% sure) that no DCUM women looks like that. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

I buy natori new with tags on eBay. About $30 per bra. But I also don't wear matching sets and stick to Soma vanishing line panties in black or neutral.

Don't be surprised if they're fakes. Everything expensive is faked by the Chinese. Shit, they even fake inexpensive brand name stuff.

Go to Nordstrom Rack and Ebay for deep discounts on Natori.

Maybe they are. But they fit just like the ones from Nordstrom.

I buy expensive underwear and bras too. But all of mine are made in USA or Europe, so a lot of the cost is from paying employees higher wages and also expensive materials (French lace, Italian mesh, silks, organic cotton). Making lingerie well is very labor intensive and detail oriented.

What is wrong with only wearing matching? I only wear matching as well.
