Just for fun: names that are off-limits

Moira, Jessica, or any of those Madison / Greyson / Brayden / ridiculous names southern people like to give their children. Or Baxer / Madison / Piper / ridiculous names urban liberals like to give their children.

Urban Liberals?! The only kids I know named Piper and Madison along with Brayden are rural Virginia red-necks and trump lovers.

PP here. I'm an urban liberal FWIW. did you read the post? Last 2 names you mentioned are the southern ones I said. These names are incredibly popular in NC. I know a bunch of Piper, Hunter, Baxter, Madison, names for girls among my community. Basically, take a masculine last name and make it the first name for your girl. It's dumb.

I met a little Isis a few years ago, right after the terrorist group became well known. Not a good choice these days. Those parents got unlucky given their timing.

My friend Michelle married a Mike and her kids both have M names. It works for them.

I laughed when I figured out that Isabelle and Elizabeth are essentially the same name and my friend from Hs had named her children this.

Examples from real life include; twins Joey and Zoey, and sisters born eight years apart, Melissa and Melinda.

Grew up with sisters Lisa and Elizabeth (lisa is Italian for Elizabeth).

And I'd never go the all same first letter name pattern for multiple children. I knew a family - let's call them the Harrisons; mom Hazel, dad Harvey and children were Helen, Heather and Heidi. Awful.

Lisa is actually a nickname for Elizabeth. The Italian version of Elizabeth is Elisabetta.

I know families where the mom or grandmother is Elizabeth and the child is Lisa. I also know a family where they switch back and forth between John and Jack over the generations: so dad is John, son is Jack, grandson is John, and so on.

I know someone named their sons Sean and Ian. I asked them if they knew they gave their sons the same name..John? She didn't care but I thought it strange.
