Says the youngster who hasn't yet learned what a weak pelvic floor can do to a woman. You cannot laugh, jump, stand up quickly, or run across a field to a Port a Potty without peeing. And don't even think about a trampoline.

Adults first in this scenario every time. BTW: I bet OP had a change of clothes for her potty trainer. I'm 100% sure the adult woman did not.

+1 OP was utterly in the wrong. She knows it and that’s why she posted. Trying to gain sympathy Bc she feels bad, as she should.

OP here and I do not feel bad. I actually found it ridiculous that a grown woman would act that way and tried to make me feel guilty for not letting her go without actually asking. If you need something, then ask directly and if you don't, then don't comment about it. Regardless of how bad I had to go I would never suggest that a woman with two children wait longer for me. If the woman had some sort of issue you would think that 1) she was wearing some sort of depends 2) she did have a change of clothes because this is a frequent occurrence or 3) she could just ask to go first.

It is not a frequent occurrance, and no I don't have the horror of wearing depends or whatever. Yet.

But yes she could have just asked.

If some old adults need diapers, no one is stopping you.

Ummmmm parents of preschoolers know all too well about pelvic floor issues from having birthed the children waiting in line. What does that have to do with not using a port o potty? My children are too small for an adult potty - they have to grip the sides. I don’t want them in the port a potty - an adult woman can navigate that. Also if you have pelvic floor issues, buy yourself some Poise pads for goodness sakes. Peeing when you sneeze or jump has nothing to do with standing in line to use the bathroom. You don’t sneeze, tinkle, and then go stand in line. The tinkle already happened.

Sometimes standing is enough to aggravate my pelvic floor/stress incontinence and walking across any distance to a port a potty assuredly would. Next time look the person in the eye with compassion and gauge it. Standing your ground just because is a dick move.

You wear them. Gross.

You are all overreacting.

OP, you were fine. The woman was 50, not 80, and probably just had too much to drink at the local winery. Let it go.

Then why did you post and your need to validate? If you are so sure in your decision so move on already.

Look, Op - only you can gauge how inappropriate it was. I was not there. I don't know whether your kids were doing the pee pee dance. I don't understand what a "cloth pull up that leaks slowly" is. If someone is having an emergency, I'd let them go, unless my kid really had to go. Did your young kids really have to go? Then you are fine. If not, it was a jerk move.

An adult that desperate would also use a port-a-potty though, especially if there are 20 and you could check to find a less awful one.

Walking that far may not have been an option depending on her issue. I would have had some sympathy and let her go.

Proof that on DCUM, people will literally argue just to argue. No matter who you are, you are wrong.

I wish this story had ended with the woman having explosive diarrhea in her pants and splashing on OP’s leg.

Yep. OP is insecure. And rude.

I would have let the adult go, it was obviously an emergency.

DP. Thank you. The reactions of other posters on this thread really left me scratching my head. The woman could have asked you directly - and explained the emergency. Otherwise, she should be in command of her body enough to plan accordingly. I don't think it was an emergency since she didn't make a move toward the port a potty.
