Bathroom Line Etiquette

I probably would have let her gone in front of me because I don't like any conflict at all, but I don't think what you did was necessary wrong. I wouldn't give it another thought if I were you.

Yup. This. Op threw some bad karma out into her world.

Wetting pants? This woman was worried about shutting her pants. Anyone who just needed to pee would go to a portapotty.

OP, don't sweat it. People think they are entitled to whatever they want or ask for. There is a potty line. There were portable bathrooms. The woman could have use the portable bathroom.

An adult with a true emergency can use her words and say so/ask for what she needs. Passive aggressive comments will get you nowhere.

Assuming she asked graciously, I would definitely let any adult go ahead of my kids, especially in the scenario you describe (i.e., did not seem like they were about to wet their pants).

I think you were fine. The other women could use the porta potties. If she had checked them for TP and there was none, she would have said so. She didn't want to use the porta potties. Your kids said they needed to go and were waiting in line. It doesn't sound like the women had an accident so I think all is well.

Did you even stop to consider that for this woman, simply walking over to the port a potty could have resulted in her shitting her pants or peeing her pants? I’m sure her bladder is not under control. She may have sudden urges to go that are uncontrollable. Your kids were not having an emergency. She was and verbalized it. You are selfish beyond words and made the wrong choice. Unbelievable.

You were WAY in the wrong OP. Come on. You are not really potty training in any serious fashion if your child is WEARING A DIAPER. This does not constitute a potty training emergency.

When you came out, had she gone to the port a potty or was she still waiting?

I would have let the lady go, taken my 6 yo to the port a potty, and had the 2 yo go in her diaper. Seriously, OP, you seem really self-centered.

Maybe she had diarrhea. It was very hot yesterday. I would have let her go ahead.

A true potty training emergency is when the child has no diaper and is clutching themselves in need.
