I'd feel the exact same way as I do if they were white and acted this way. Thugs are thugs. Race irrelevant. |
There is no possible past that justifies kicking a person recently beaten into unconsciousness in the head while they lying are defenseless on the street, as one of the kids does. That is intentionally trying to inflict brain damage. |
It happened earlier this month. He is out of the hospital. "The man suffered head injuries and a left eye socket injury. The witness suffered a swollen left eye. They were treated at a local hospital." |
I hope he is ok. This is so horrible. |
Mealy-mouthed police statement won't mention the victim's possible PTSD or traumatic brain injury. A TBI can literally ruin your life, making you unable to work or even concentrate. It's a total life changing event and these kids were gleefully stomping this guy's head into the pavement. WTF. |
If they are 13-14 and out at 1am and in a group of 10, well, yeah, probably. Loud and raucous--definitely. But that goes to demeanor and context, no? |
| Is this the Hilton at k and 16th? |
its the one Where Reagan was shot |
Yep. Connecticut Ave. and T street in Dupont. |
It's literally the same entrance where Reagan and Brady were shot. That stone wall in the top right of the video frame is the exact location.
|
A few down are a few less criminals. Seems like a win even if it is only a drop in the ocean. |
So what if thry are 13/14? Put them away for the better part of their lives. I'd say a good 60 years is sufficient. |
PP here. I was responding to the bolded. |
| I feel zero empathy for that mob of thugs. Catch those losers and throw them in jail and throw away the key. DC is going to hell in a hand basket with its softie liberal policies. So glad I don’t live there!! |
|
Well, they were all black.
So when I see a group of 20 plus black kids in NW DC, I would worry about the same thing. Don’t gimme that BS that tour profiling them. What would you do if you saw 20 random Black teens walking late at night. Stuff like this should make African American community leaders work on the teen youth violence issue. |
