Yes, I do. I live in the city very close to where this latest incident occurred. Stop saying that prosecuting these crimes is racist, for one. Prosecute all of the offenders in the same, fair way. In the video, it looked like to me that some of the kids were white. I personally do not care whether they are black, white, Asian. I care about the fact that these are violent crimes happening all over the city. Why is the DC Council and the AG not more worried about these crimes?

Oh bullsh*t. Please cite ONE person here who said the kids shouldn't be prosecuted. Nobody said that. On the other hand, the white nationalists here said that you should run away from all black kids, or just be armed to shoot into the crowd. DC has been extremely soft on these types of crimes lately and we are all expressing concern. Get our head out of the sand.

Not only is DC soft on crimes committed by juveniles, DC also make it extremely difficult for parents to discipline their children to prevent such incidents. Go into the middle schools and listen to how the students school each other on what their parents can and cannot do to them. I recall overhearing a twelve-year-old student tell one of his friends to call 911 if his parents hit him or took away his phone. The boys were Waiting to see the dean because they had just picked on another student. I shook my head and kept walking. These kids know the system better than the adults and DC police are complicit. Maybe it’s to ensure MPD will always stay employed, for these kids will grow into the adult penal system.

Nobody said that. not a SINGLE person has denied what happened or argued that prosecuting the kids would be racist. Not a single person.

Correct. The only stat the police cannot fudge is the homicide stat. When I was attacked, knocked to the ground and asked for my watch, the MPD classified it as a misdemeanor simple assault. When I asked the officer why it was not an attempted robbery or agg batt, he said because I didn’t have a watch on and I did not see a weapon. Incredulous. MPD only report stats on felonies, so it is in their best interest to mislabel felonies to misdemeanors.
