Did your foot size return post pregnancy?

Mine grew half a size. My mother’s did, too. Genetics?

I’m 30 weeks, FTM at 41. Just wanted to add that in my 30s, before any pregnancies, I gradually went up half a size. Which seems to be the average experience here post pregnancy. I have always wondered if maybe pregnancy just accelerates natural “growth” from aging. My feet are now about another half size up from that with swelling. So we will test my theory I guess!

Mine stayed the same size! I had a ton of swelling with my first (ended up with preeclampsia) and temporarily had to go a size up to squeeze my feet in, but went back to my old size a few weeks after delivery. Now, two kids and 5 years later I can still fit into pre-kid shoes.

My theory is that part of the issue is the joints getting looser with all of the hormones during pregnancy. Since my feet were pretty flat with a low arch to begin with, it didn’t affect me as much.

NP here - fascinating theory! I came to say that my shoe size didn't change during or post-pregnancy, although I'm pregnant with #2 now so I guess who knows what could happen...but I also have flat feet with a low arch. Maybe there's something to your theory!

My feet grew 1 full size with my first pregnancy and stayed after giving birth. I got pregnant with #2 eight months later. My foot returned to the original size about 6 months after #2. This is of course AFTER I donated all of my shoes that I thought would never fit again.

Mine stayed the same (2 kids). No lie arches either. However, I had terrible varicose vein issues during second pregnancy.
