Annalee or Leanna?

Anna Lee (middle name) _______.

I’m so sorry for both your losses!

I think Leeanna is easier to say and less likely to be nicknamed.

I have a friend named Anna Lee and she hates it, people always call her Anna.

But I have a friend Leanne and she’s only Leeanne.

I don't like either. Sounds made up. Go with Anna.

Annalee makes me think of The Band. I like it better as Anna Lee with the option for shortening/ a nickname

No other options. It is going to be one or the other. And it’s okay if you don’t like either name - it won’t change our minds.

Thanks!

I will never understand the rational for combining names. If it were me I would choose one as a first name and the other as a middle name. I would either chose Anna Lee or Lee Anna. Anna Lee flows better although it reminds me of Sara Lee. It is great you want to honor your mothers but, remember your daughter is her own person and has to live with the name. Did you parents do this to you?

You don’t have to understand, PP. This is OP’s choice and a decision that has been made.

She is asking which we prefer - Leanna or Annalee.

I will never understand the rational or need to insert your opinion on more.

Im the pp. The op asked for opinions. Just because she tried to squash questions doesnt mean we have to follow her rules.

I gave my opinion and she obviously can ignore it. Why make up a name when Anna or Lee are perfectly fine ? I actually prefer the spelling Leigh

No way can DCUM only respond with Leanna or Annalee. I don’t even have to read the responses to know that other names will be suggested and posters will tell you neither.

Very poor reading skills or self-control here.

No OP did not ask for opinions! She wrote clearly that there were only two options - Annalee or Leanna. You look like an idiot giving your opinion to someone who clearly said it didn’t matter!!

Leanna.

Both have problems. Annalee is just so southern red neck.
And Leeanna sounds made up. Like you squashed two names together but didn’t like Leanne.
Kind of feels like Jolene. Like the song.

Maybe OP is country?

I think they’re both lovely. I’d probably choose Leanna.

It is hick. That's why I like the Liana spelling better. Still sounds like grandmas' names but so much better.

Well, I wasn't the only one who gave opinions. She can ask but, as soon as you outsource you don't have the right to police everyone. I always think it is short sighted not to get different opinions. Why not ask your family if you don't want strangers to give their advice?

Anna Lee Smith
Leigh Anna Smith
Annalise Smith (softer sound)

I really like the name Lee for a girl. So Leanna. I also feel like Leanne is still honoring both women. But be prepared for everyone just calling her Lee.
