Nothing tastes as good as thin feels

This is bullshit and fuels disordered eating. If you really think this, please see a therapist.

If you don't want people to impose a beauty standard on you that requires being a size 2, don't impose a standard on me that requires me to eat lots of junk food and like it.

You're allowed to say it; I never said otherwise.

The premise of this thread is "what do you think about this saying"; for ME (and I'm allowed to share my experience), I'd rather be an 8 and eat the cake. You do you. I honestly don't care what you do, and I never shouted down anyone else's perspective.

Thank you. Others attacked me for saying I would prefer to be the size I can attain with healthy eating (not starvation) and I just found it pretty obnoxious. I'm not sitting here counting calories. The other night I went out with DH and friends and had just as much food as everyone else.

There is no food so wonderful tasting that it would be worth regaining those 40 pounds only to have to struggle to take them back off. Lasagna, pie, pizza, cookies - so not worth it
I indulge a little here and there but it's in a manageable way.

I don't look down on morbidly obese people. I would imagine that having so much weight to lose would be overwhelming. But you've got to start somewhere...

I can totally relate to the bolded section. While I was hard at work losing weight, I kept thinking- If I did not eat in a glutinous way, then I would not be in this position. I am maintaining my weight now, but I still get extreme cravings( like eating 3 slices of cake in one sitting), which may have been triggered by dieting for a few months, but the good news is, I try to balance it out by adjusting the indulgences the next few days and doing some exercise. I definitely do not want to regain all the weight lost and feel crappy again. I feel great at my size( 4), my friend who is a 6 is perfectly happy with her size and the food that she eats, but is also really good at intuitive eating, while I am not, so I need to make the extra effort when I actually indulge, we have a different description of indulgence- where she can indulge in a piece of cake, I actually indulge with 3.

DP also saying be the size you want to be with healthy eating, both to the size 2 and size 8 poster. I think the problem is the title quite carries more connotation/association with starvation or ED than with healthy eating. But the general premise of you do your healthy eating and enjoy it and the size that goes with it, absolutely yes.

Why can't you just live your life? No one walked into your living room and started talking about your weight. You're probably going to get some opinions and advice and all sorts of crap in online fora. Don't want any of that stuff? Get offline and go take a walk. If you stay in the DCUM kitchen, don't complain when there's heat.

Who said that?

Just because that slogan has been used by pro-ana people doesn't mean it has to be interpreted that way.

People with disordered eating and distorted body image have no idea what is healthy or not. Hence they don't realize how unhealthy their posts are.

I get it. But, I’m concerned about your emphasis on how thin “feels good” - it does set off some alarms, sorry! I understand how we all enjoy looking good in clothes and things like that. But I’m picturing you feeling your ribs and your pelvic bones and deriving pleasure. Which seems a little disordered for an adult.

I have issues because I'd prefer to eat healthy and be a size I feel beautiful at, rather than eat lots of birthday cake and be heavier?

Ok ...

I guess you're part of the "real women have curves" club, which of course implicitly means that women who don't have curves are repressed and should be ostracized.
