Diet, Nutrition & Weight Loss
| Thoughts? |
| Clearly false, or no one would be overweight |
| You can have both if you eat healthy. |
| Are you the same person that posted basically this exact same thing last week? Sigh. |
| Who the hell cares about thin? Being strong and capable is the best feeling, I say. |
|
Wind yourself up too tight, and you'll loosen up by spiraling out of control.
Eat well. Move. Focus on being healthy, and things fall into place. Your body is smart. If you listen to your body, you'll no when to skip dessert, when to let your body rest when your ankle hurts, when to indulge in a second small scoop of mashed potatoes. Balance. |
| Ugh my mom used to say this and I have experienced a lifetime of disordered eating, dieting and now my metabolism is screwed up and I am obese by DCUM standards. |
|
I wish, but no. Chocolate is way better
|
| In my twenties -yes. In my 40s, I couldn't care less how thin feels. Life isn't about pounds on a scale or mirror reflections. You realize as you he how shallow and meaningless those things are. |
OP here. Nope. |
You can have both, as long as you don't eat massive amounts of chocolate. |
Why are those mutually exclusive? I'm thin, strong, and capable. |
| Lol do women not value intellectuality? This is DMV. Please put intelligence as a precursor to being thin. |
| I agree. It's nice to be able to indulge every once in a while, but I don't get the same pleasure from food that I once did. |
OP here. When did I say that being thin is more important than anything else? It's about being thin vs eating whatever you want, not being thin vs being smart or doing well in school. I absolutely value intellectuality, but that's not the point of this thread. |
