Aw, come on now. I’m not a Visi fan and my DD’s went to SR but we could be a little less harsh.

At an admissions info night a couple years ago a parent asked this question. Someone on the panel hesitated answering as if they did not want to share the information and then said something like around 500 a year is typical.

Wow- that is a lot! Sounds like another area girls school is needed.

I wish there was an all girl Catholic high school in Nova, in one of the closer in suburbs. The logistics for those in the Maryland suburbs are just too difficult for families with 2 working parents in Nova and Visi in Georgetown is not much better.

Seems like the parent questions are slightly toned down compared to a few years ago but they are still asking all of your child’s teachers and the school principal to evaluate you as a parent.

Visitation's application numbers increased by 25% this year - which the school found very surprising. Apparently, it has been increasing every year, but the volume of applications this year took everyone by surprise. And yes, siblings, legacies and a number of strong applicants were WL-ed.

I am a first-time commenter on this thread, but that is just offensive and immature. Does that apply to all Visi students - including the 15 or so that have gone to Ivy League schools in the last 5 years?

Every year a lot of strong applicants are wait listed at Visi. It’s very sad if siblings are wait listed though - that’s pretty harsh.
