At an admissions info night a couple years ago a parent asked this question. Someone on the panel hesitated answering as if they did not want to share the information and then said something like around 500 a year is typical.

Seriously? I was afraid we would have to deal with them for four more years at Visitation. SR, here we go!

My DD was waitlisted at Visi. The application asked the school if parents were involved. My DD goes to public school so this is hardly a question the counselor would care to answer. How does she know what I do at school. I’ve been a PTA president, I’m on the board of 3 charities and I spend more than 100 hours a year volunteering at school and with my kids at several service organizations. None of this information was on my DDs application. There was no place I saw that I was asked about any of this. However, I have a feeling that if DD cane from a catholic school the counselors add this. So I guess they would seem more involved. Seems like a silly criteria to use to decide a girls acceptance.

It was a good choice for us - everyone was just so nice. I met no mean/unkind parents in 6 years of social/sports/school events there. Maybe they’re there but they weren’t in charge of anything (there are a few parent run events like auctions but everyone is super nice) and we had very good experiences there.
Just a wonderful experience for our family.

The teachers or school guidance counselor fills this out. All your free labor for naught!!

I wish there was an all girl Catholic high school in Nova, in one of the closer in suburbs. The logistics for those in the Maryland suburbs are just too difficult for families with 2 working parents in Nova and Visi in Georgetown is not much better.
