Except “A”never said that about “C” |
Outrage is all they have. It’s their default condition. They are deeply flawed, defective people. |
If I tell you that your heterosexuality is immoral and you have to become gay that is pretty much the equivalent of saying you should not exist as you truly are. If I tell a black man he must be a white woman, that is the equivalent of me saying he shouldn't exist as he truly is. Conservative Christians don't think gays should exist. Period. |
Well if conservatives can assure us you have no outrage against legal abortion, homosexuality, and illegal immigrants seeking asylum, then fine. I'll give up my outrage against people who believe gays should not allowed to get married to the partners they love or to have protections against getting fired just because they're gay. |
wut? |
Add SOME Catholics to the mix . . . and SOME Muslims and SOME Jewish people and so on and so on. Extremists stick to the literal meaning of any religious text. So as a liberal (Am I correct in labeling you as such?), shouldn't you be accepting of an extremist's views? If conservative Christians wish to form a school, they have every right to do so. YOU don't have to join. YOU don't have to believe in their doctrine. You simply have to accept that they have a right to do so. Why is this so hard for some? Beliefs are beliefs. Unless they become violent, which is always a possibility for ANY group - regardless of political or religious beliefs, let them be. They will exist in their bubble - a pocket w/in the greater US. But the hypocrisy is embedded within your belief system - that anything goes (males into females, females into males, yada yada) unless it offends you. A transsexual may offend a conservative Christian, and the conservative Christian may offend you b/c of his/her views on homosexuality. |
OK First of all, stop being 12. It's WHAT. Next, my friend, one illogical response will not produce a logical answer. So unless you have something to say, which isn't a strawman argument, bring it on! |
How does illegal immigration fit into this picture? Laws are laws, yes? There are plenty of liberals and independents who are against illegal immigration. But you feel the need to lump everyone under one category. If you want to get political, OK - here's an article from a left-leaning source - https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/15/voters-doubt-trump-border-wall-will-solve-immigration-issues-poll-says.html Most voters believe there’s a border crisis — but they don’t think Trump’s wall will solve it (1/2019) Here's a good MODERATE response:
some statistics, which lean toward the conservative end - but not necessarily the case for Ind:
You can have all the fits you want, but there's more crossover among people than there are differences. I, for example, believe in a woman's decision to have an abortion but would never have one myself. Would I go out and protest? No, I wouldn't. However, I have taken friends to PP for procedures. So what am I? hypocrite? or a person who's as complicated as the next? Most people are NOT black and white. |

She is not a Christian. Calling these people Christians is insulting to those of us who are truly trying to follow Christ. There is nothing...NOTHING...Christ-like about anyone who supports Trump. These are hypocrites. Sex offenders. Racists. Bigots. Criminal thugs. If you support Trump, you are literally the opposite of everything Christ taught.

| I don't understand the big deal. The school is just going by the Bible. I'm sure they don't want students engaging in sex before marriage. I went to christian school like this and I knew people that were having sex, gay, and doing other things the school doesn't condone. I do think Karen Pence and her husband are a bad representation because they seem to endorse the ways of Trump and that can be confusing to society. |
Yes, I am a liberal and I grew up in a Catholic family so I am very familiar with the Catholic stance, which I completely disagree with. Though at least it's a bit more humanitarian than wanting to kill gays or telling them they have to "convert." They just have to suppress their own being, which is come to think of it pretty darn awful. I would never say this school doesn't have the right to exist -- can you find above a sentence where it says "this school needs to shut down"? Please, I can't see that sentence anywhere, so maybe highlight it for me. I find it disheartening that someone representing a national party like Pence would decide to teach there, basically admitting she is perfectly on board with the idea that gays need to be suppressed. That's her choice. I have the freedom to say I disapprove of it. I won't say there should be a law she shouldn't. Nor should there be a law that I can't voice my disapproval of her intolerance. See here's the difference: I am not trying to pass laws that say it's okay to fire someone for privately believing homosexuality is sinful. Conservative Christians and conservative Muslims and conservative atheists are free to believe that gays are an abomination. I will fight them tooth and nail, however, if they try to enact laws based on their belief in discrimination against people just because of whom they are attracted to. So, Karen Pence, you go to town teaching at a school that will kick out students who have gay parents (something even many Catholic schools wouldn't do, fyi). Just don't think that you are endearing yourself to the millions Americans who are LGBTQ or the millions more who love and support them. You'll just be a divisive figure. And I guess from the standpoint of a liberal, that's just fine and dandy, because it'll make it all the harder for Mike Pence to win votes. |
| I honestly can’t believe she’s working at all, nevermind slumming it down here in Springfield where I live. I pass that school all the time. The surrounding areas are vast majority Hispanic and working-class. Must be a bit of a culture shock for her. |
YOU ARE OUTRAGED!!!!

so, I swear in the first article I read about this, it said she was an advocate for art therapy.
Um, isn't that rather snowflake-y of her? I thought "art therapy" was one of those funny things only commie libs do... /s |
I just hope she never realizes how many male artists are / were gay. Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, I'm looking at you! |
