"It is honestly shocking how much Fox News' rhetoric about immigrants mirrors Nazi propaganda"

Bullshit. You clearly don't know anything about the bureaucracy of fascism. There was plenty of it.

Yeah, sure. That's why the outgoing Republican administrations in WI and MI are doing all they can to strip power from their incoming, democratically elected Democrat administrations.

Gee. It seems like I recall an outgoing Congress passing very major legislation at the very last minute because the controlling party had just lost a Senate seat in Massachusetts. And, they passed it even though they lost the seat because of the possibility of that very legislation.

An election that took Democrats from 60 seats down to 59? Because passing legislation supported by 59% of Senators (representing an even greater percentage of the population) would have been anti-democratic? You're insane.

There, that's what the title ought to be. When Trump starts branding Democrats with pink donkey tattoos and herding them into ghettos, yeah, then I might believe Trump is goose-stepping on our constitution. Until then, such hysteria is nothing more than the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth of crybabies not getting their way.

+1.

If anything, it's Dems branding Republicans and trying to herd them into ghettos.

Yeah, sure. That's why the outgoing Republican administrations in WI and MI are doing all they can to strip power from their incoming, democratically elected Democrat administrations.

You are clueless.

Fascists didn't work via paperwork. They energized the mobs to intimidate opponents in the streets, and that's exactly what Dems have been doing so diligently.

Yeah, healthcare is so "fascist"

As a matter of fact, Hitler launch the first major anti-smoking public health campaign ever.

Healthcare totalitarians like you have much to learn from him.

What's shocking is that OP can't see what propaganda channels are MSNBC and CNN. They seem to exist to delegitimize Trump and influence low information voters against him.

Fraid not.

Had you been paying attention in history class you would know Hitler was democratically elected. He did not run on a platform of eliminating the Jews. That was secret. But he did blame Jews for the economic problems in Germany at the time. The anti-semitism rampant in Germany at the time bought into Hitler’s words. It escalated into mass murder. But it did not start there.

I love how self-centered you sound. No one knows who you are. No one can see you.

But are you Jewish, and immigrant or a minority? Yes, their words suggest they’d like you gone or as part of a permanent underclass. If you’re that Latino on here I keep saying this to, I’ll say it again: if you’re descended from Central or South America, you are not white to these white supremacists and you never will be.

Me being a Jew. I’ll let them know. Good for a laugh

BTW? Ingraham has brown kids

NP: where did you learn history, my fried?

Hitler was NOT democratically elected.

He lost every single free election he participated in. In the last one, though, his ability to mobilize the street made Hindenburg appoint him Chancellor to appease his Resistance movement.

Yes, dear Dems, you have been applying Hitler's techniques to the T.

Immigrants at the border are have numbers written on them in sharpie. Their children are still being taken from them and put into tent camps run by people the Trump Administration didn’t even bother to fingerprint. They are refusing access to these ghettos to Congreemen.

I’m not worried about myself. I may be a Democrat. But I’m also healthy and white. So I’m protected. But migrants on the border with asylum claims? They are having numbers written on them. Put in ghettos. All while Fox News (and on DCUM poster who started a thread) go into fearmongering overdrive about the diseases they bring. Yet another’s page out of the Nazi playbook.

All of this can be easily stopped by the "immigrants" not coming to the border. Is someone forcing them to come here? No.

I am amused at you calling them immigrants. They aren't. They are wannabes. An immigrant is someone who settled here legally.

The Auschwitz Center in Poland said something similar last week (via a statement not Twitter.)

What exactly did they say?

The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in Poland issued a statement on Monday amid an ongoing debate between U.S. lawmakers over whether the Holocaust offers lessons for contemporary events such as those at the U.S.-Mexico border.

"When we look at Auschwitz we see the end of the process," the museum said in a tweet on Monday afternoon.

"It's important to remember that the Holocaust actually did not start from gas chambers," the museum continued. "This hatred gradually developed from words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence."

Who cares? What does a museum in Poland, of all places, possibly have to contribute to a policy debate across the ocean?

I'm a white immigrant married to a brown immigrant. We feel perfectly fine in the U.S. - because we came here legally and with enough money and understanding of the social structures of the country. We do not approve of those who try to enter illegally.

The Nazis won the most seats in the Reichstag in 1932. The Communists were told by Moscow not to make common cause with the Social Democrats. Hindenburg reluctantly appointed Hitler chancellor when no majority government was forthcoming and at the urging of, among others, prominent industrialists. Conservatives told Hindenburg they could tame Hitler and most folks discounted the Nazis' ability to establish a dictatorship in Germany:

"German newspapers wrote that, without doubt, the Hitler-led government would try to fight its political enemies (the left-wing parties), but that it would be impossible to establish a dictatorship in Germany because there was "a barrier, over which violence cannot proceed" and because of the German nation being proud of "the freedom of speech and thought". Theodor Wolff of Frankfurter Zeitung wrote:[77]

It is a hopeless misjudgement to think that one could force a dictatorial regime upon the German nation. [...] The diversity of the German people calls for democracy.
—?Theodor Wolff in Frankfurter Zeitung, Jan 1933"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler%27s_rise_to_power#Seizure_of_control_(1931%E2%80%931933)

They were, of course, wrong.
