Based on the dcum'ing while driving, I am guessing this post is more about lack of driving skills than road conditions.

Slippery in Vienna. But ok if you go slow. I am shocked it is only a 2 hour delay. They closed for rain last year.

That is crazy. SACC opened at 7 am at our elementary and kids are there.

All the “FCPS closes for anything less than a perfect, sunny day” and “A delay and it hasn’t even done anything yet” people please bookmark this thread.

8:07 here. But better that they closed. Now message states SACC opened but please come to pick your kids up.

What a poor planning!

People are driving right up our steep hill no problem. I wish they would have stuck with the 2 hour delay.

This is why they should err on the side of caution and call the closing the night before — even if sometimes they will be wrong and they will have closed for a minor weather event or a complete bust. Let’s not complain when the closing seems to have been “for nothing.”

No problem driving from McLean to WFC Metro, but FCPS made the right choice. Buses would be having issues on many roads.
