Op here. We decided to go with a nanny. I will be working from home and will make a high salary. Why would I not go back to work? It's a no brainier. My child is 2 year's old. We're saving for a down payment on a house right now. My husband comes from a culture where most women do not work outside the house.

Was your husband on board with the nanny? Was is just daycare he objected to? I'm sort of surprised it got as far as described in this post if that's the case ...

Op here. He's ok with a nanny now but he wasn't before. I actually prefer the daycare but we will see. I think my son would get more outdoor time and socializing this way. My husband is not comfortable with the nanny driving. There are a few things they can walk to but not much. We live in a very hot climate so they can swim most of the year outdoors. We also have a play room in our condo building. The daycare at my husband's office has very high ratings. They also have a camera app and it would be a lot less expensive!
