Oh, come on! Don't go! Aren't there any more rants about how teachers and principals should be jailed if bullying occurs? Pretty please? What if I promise not to curse?

Okay - you have communicated with both the teacher and the principal. They know the names of the assailants - correct? As others have.suggested the principal must know every time your child is intimidated/assaulted or physically harmed and that you will be in his/her office in the next five minutes. Your son is being bullied by a group of students this changes the dynamics and consequences for the assailants.

The principal will only take it seriously if he knows you will be in his office five minutes later. If you are not present your son will have trouble clearly articulating in sequence what actually happen. It will be he said she said. Your son will be out numbered and overpowered by the other students and the adults in the room.

You need to be there in order so he will not be interrupted, intimidated and overpowered when the questions are being asked. Also if your son does not have a phone to call you himself, you must inform the principal that you must be called immediately whenever your son is involved in an infraction.

Do not be intimidated by the principal and the administrative staff. In the end they are not all powerful. Today, if the principal fails to act you have the RIGHTS to call the police and that's something the principal does not want to happen. If you mean business the principal will respond
